I need to cut back a little on the coffee, my BFF dude told me that I "act like you're on cocaine" when I drink it. I'd like to not appear like a coke head, and give my adrenals a bit of a rest. What's your fave Starbucks (or other) somewhat caffeinated drink that doesn't give you as hard a buzz as my tall black coffee?
Lately I've been drinking a giant thing of cold water with fresh lemon every morning. I take my medication first thing in the morning, and I have to wait 30 minutes before eating or drinking dairy, so I fill a 1 L mason jar and chug it. It really does help me wake up, but I still have a coffee later on in the morning.
I love the taste of coffee but don't always like the caffeine, especially in the afternoon/evening. I drink decaff. I love Peets coffee (I drink both caff and decaff, both are good).

I'm drinking coffee these days, but I came in to say chai lattes, which I see people posted above. They are so delicious. We have a Keurig at work and we had them for a while, I loved them!
Republic of Tea also has some great selection. I love their Moroccan Mint, it's a green tea but the mint perks me up. They also have a line of Hi-Caf teas, I like the Pom Berry black.
My favorite caffeine free tea is red rooibos. With a splash of coconut creamer and either honey or a couple drops of liquid stevia. So good scottyderp, I promise.

This isn't an alternative, just a way to cut down on coffee--I alternate water and coffee. I make myself drink a full glass of water before I'm "allowed" to have a cup of coffee. I thought I'd be hankering for my second cup o' joe bad enough to suck down my second cup of water each day, but it usually takes me a while, and, by the time I'm done with my second water, it's too late to have that much caffeine.
Another vote for chai lattes. I don't like coffee so a vanilla chai latte is my go-to Starbucks order when I need some caffeine. Otherwise I get a vanilla steamer or hot chocolate like a little kid. lol.

I make a pitcher of half Earl Grey and half regular decaf iced tea every other day or so. It's not as caffeinated but it gets me going in the morning. I had been making authentic sun tea for a while, but now I toss all the teabags in, fill the gallon pitcher with water and zap it for about 5 minutes in the microwave (I nuc it, as batbirdgirl would say) and let it sit overnight and it's ready in the morning.
