What's on the menu? I saw a funny idea to have a bunch of munchies type of food (Denver).
When Denver and Seattle played each other, we did fancy homemade stoner food: Doritos, gorditas (channeling Taco Bell), pop tarts, "green" (mint) brownies.
This year, we are doing a straight Carolina menu and encouraging guests to bring Colorado beer:
Pimento cheese with veggies and pretzels for appetizer
I'm going to a CWs house. She and her FI do a lot of dinner parties so they are doing all the food. Pork sliders, Bronco balls (meatballs), Panther tails (pastry cheese twists), various dips/dippers. We're all bringing our own alcohol. I'll probably gets some growlers filled.
I'm leaning towards the Panthers. I like Peyton and it would be cool to see him win again. But I just really like Cam and Greg and the Panthers. My CW is a Bronco fan.
I always watch. And as long as the 49ers (WIN ALWAYS) or the Seahawks (BOOOOOOO) aren't playing, I just want a good game.
I really hope the Broncos win so Peyton can go out on good note. I don't think he needs to physically play another season.
We're having nachos and whatever else DH dreams up in the next few days. Pinwheels, something with puff pastry, some sort of strawberry/cream cheese roll, Texas caviar, he's mentioned it all.
We will be watching. At home, just DH and I. I just want to see a good game, one that isn't a blowout.
And, a confession, I'm pretty damn excited at getting to watch the game on regular cable this year - the last three superbowls we watched, we saw on Monday morning (yay, time zones - it was live, just on Monday morning) on base in Korea, on Armed Forces Network. AFN strips all the commercials from the broadcast, and instead puts in cheesy military-produced PSA's and announcements in place of them.

Go Broncos!
Denver is DH's team, so he gets to pick. He is not so good at committing to plans, so I have no idea what the day will bring but I can guarantee that, unless we stay home to watch it (which is a strong possibility) I will be the DD.
I am hoping he just wants to stay home so we can drink beer and eat taquitos.
I used to like Peyton - his SNL hosting stints have been great! - but have turned against him lately. I realized that I don't like the caricature of himself that he's playing in his commercials. So dumb, but it's off putting! Anyway. I have been impressed with how Cam Newton has handled himself this year, and am rooting for Carolina.
We're just watching at home with DS; we usually do apps and stuff.
Love of my life baby boy born 11/11. One and done not by choice; 3 years of TTC yielded 4 MMC and 2 CPs, through 4 IUIs and 2 IVFs. Focusing on making the world a better place instead...and running.
Bf and I plan to watch it at home, just the two of us. This has become our yearly tradition. I think we're rooting for the Panthers, but not for any particular reason (other than we think they will win, I guess!).
So far we're planning on wings, nachos, shrimp with cocktail sauce, pulled pork sliders, and maybe one other dip. I always make way too much food for the two of us, but we like to have variety. So I'll just try to make smaller portions I guess.
Oh, and beer. I like the Denver beer idea. We have Carolina BBQ covered so we need something Denver.
Our Super Bowl party is chili, mac and cheese, jalapeño poppers, corn bread, guacamole and tortilla chips, veggie tray, fruit tray, French onion dip with chips, brownies, chocolate chip cookies and chocolate covered strawberries

Rooting for the Broncos and for Peyton to (hopefully) end his career with SB victory. I think the Panthers will win, though, and Cam Newton annoys me, so meh.
We're celebrating my dad's birthday while watching, so steak, mac and cheese (for the kids, mostly), grilled zucchini, and birthday cake are on the menu.
I'm bringing fancy decorated sugar cookies (Broncos style) that someone is making to both parties and probably a dip to the first one we go to - either spinach artichoke or man dip (velveta, rotel, cream cheese and sausage). I know they are having pulled pork sandwiches there with sides.

Rooting for the Broncos and having a party. Just regular Super Bowl food--wings, meatballs, hot ham and cheese pinwheels, veggie tray, fruit tray, chips and guac, summer sausage and cheese, Reuben dip, a few different cookie options, etc. We are getting a keg of Dale's, but that is our only Colorado item.
Go Broncos as we are Denverites. My ILs are coming over & from NC so I'm sure I'll be annoyed if they root for the Panthers...lol. I'm making sloppy joes, Mac n cheese, fruit & dip, veg & dip & brownies. Mil is bringing chips. I have a very boring palate wise crowd...lots of kids.
SIL is in charge of the chips and myriad of dips. We're doing fajitas, pretzel bites, and homemade caramel and cheese popcorn. I'm going to try to dye the caramel blue. Go Broncos!
We are going to watch with friends. The host is from Denver, so I expect the experience to be insufferable, either way. I am taking spinach and artichoke dip and pita chips.
I like Cam Newton, so I wouldn't mind if Carolina wins, but in reality, the only team I legitimately root for is the Eagles. Rough life. Also, I don't like football, so I'm really just there for food and commercials.
An old coworker of mine is doing a pot luck. I'm making swedish meatballs. It will be a mix of stuff at the party; we usually have some homemade Japanese veggie dish and some South African meat dishes with the standard munchies.
Her BF is in a local band so we will also have live music to keep us entertained; the guys use the parties for rehearsals.
