I'm lying in bed. H just took the kids downstairs but there's little chance of me getting back to sleep, I've been up since 6.
We need to go get passport pictures taken today, Daniel was 10 months in his first one, I actually think getting an acceptable shot is going to be harder today.
earlybird thanks! On Monday we will make an offer and see what happens!
jamaicam my H was hungover after aforementioned birthday dinner (so this morning) but he has taken the kids camping for the weekend so I let him sleep in out of future sympathy. Even though I'm still mad about the bill! Grrr
Tired. So tired. Why do kids wake up so early on vacation?
Off to the aquarium this morning! They've never been to one so they're excited (as am I, they're going to love it). Then lunch with a college friend I haven't seen in years and dinner out tonight. Having a lovely visit aside from not enough sleep!

We just did passport pictures for the boys last week and it was very easy! The fact that you are no longer allowed to smile helped, lol. There's actually an app you can get and take them yourself - it uses the grid so you can get an accurate shot and is really easy. We couldn't use it because I have no plain white walls in our house lol.

We were never allowed to smile in ours, but I think they're a little more relaxed with kids. We do have one white wall so if the store is a disaster I'll check out that app, thank you!
Here they just changed kids passports to 5 years (from 3), my almost 21 month old isn't going to look anything like his picture in 5 years!
I don't know if D (or you) is open to it, but bribery works well with L, sandj82110. Sometimes, she'll beg to take a picture and then ask for a fruit snack, lol. Also, the app devonpow mentioned works great. We just did pictures for W and my H. I think you can download it off the U.S. Passport website. It produces standard passport pictures, so I imagine they'd work for you.
My child has decided he hates to sleep. Why? He used to sleep in until 6:30-7 and the last week or so it's been before 5am. I'm happy he's in his own room again, but I really miss sleeping in a little more.
It's too hard to resist that sweet face and voice though. "Mommeeeeeee. It's time to wake uuuuuuuup."
sandj82110 when my DS1 was 1 we had to give him raisins to keep his mouth shut because they're not allowed to show teeth or open mouth. he looks so silly!

L was 3 weeks old in her passport picture. She looks like she's going to punch something, or someone. Even the customs agents laugh at how ridiculous it is.
I have to brag on my baby. I fed her at 10:45 last night and she slept until 5 am! I fed her and she let me put her back in her crib and she slept until 7:30!! She didn't end up in our bed at all!
Now if only I slept the whole time. Noah was having a ton of bad dreams and wouldn't let my husband comfort him for some reason.
Hilarious earlybird I get that passports are important and necessary and I appreciate not having to renew every 3 years now but the picture thing is ridiculous, they need to come up with something new there, what's the point of a passport of 7 year old when the picture was taken when they were 2?
We've had good luck with taking our own passport pictures too. I had to get a visa picture this year and Walgreens has reasonable prices and is much easier to deal with than the post office.
Both of my boys are 3 months in their passport photos. When we travelled this summer the immigration officer thought B's passport was for E originally. So he looked at B and said you must be Elliot - to which there was an immediate - that's silly I'm Benjamin, my baby brother is Elliot!

When I worked I didn't mind the weekends where dh worked because I could get caught up on housework with him not in the way. Now that I stay at home I hate it. The weekends give me a bit of a break with him here.
Genevieve slept last night!! All night and in her crib. She fussed once and H took care of it. Omg I might have cried if she didn't. Hell I might cry since she did.
I'm planning to attack my house today. We will see how we that actually works.
H took B to work with him, so it's just W and me. He plays so nicely when his brother isn't here taking toys away from him and knocking him over every five minutes.

After a rough day yesterday (I was a little green from the parade and in the car for 4 hours), I woke up to this and get a full 15 minutes of just me and my coffee. Now off to a couple a farmers markets to stock up.
I'm taking DD for a haircut this morning and then I will let her pick out what she wants for lunch. It will probably be Mexican or sushi. My younger cousin just graduated cosmetology school and has started working at a salon and needs some business. I had to bribe DD to let her cut her hair, hence her getting to pick out what she gets for lunch.
Coffee mate vanilla caramel creamer is the best. I have a hard time finding it in the store usually, but DH found it last night. So my morning was made with a nice hot cup of coffee.
