Lol. My sister arranged a " diaper drive" for our nephew whose gf is pregnant. No fewer than 3 people have asked if I'm pregnant (wtf? I'm an old lady) seeing a stack of diapers in my hatchback.
I did attend a co-Ed "diapers and drafts" party which was an excuse to get a keg. You brought a pack of diapers for the couple having the baby and in exchange got a solo cup lol. It was a fun party *shrug*

Yeah, I've heard of co-ed "showers" which are actually just a drinking and dancing parties at night. That seems to be a cultural/regional thing.
DH's co-worker and friend had one. His wife had a shower ten years earlier for her son (previous relationship), and didn't feel right having another. First grandchild on current DH's side, so his parents wanted some sort of celebration and hosted one, had big BBQ, supplied all the beer, etc.
I nearly killed DH in his sleep that night. He certainly got his investment on the diapers back in beer.
Work had a "diaper shower" for me since this was not my first baby. It's awesome that I haven't had to buy a single diaper or wipe in two months.
I was invited to something similar for a friend when she had twins-- they weren't her first, so not a full shower. Just a big coed party with a request to bring diapers for the new babies.
I actually think it's a nice/useful way to celebrate a new baby.

I would go to this. I mean, this is basically what our baby shower was except people brought whatever presents they wanted instead of diapers.
I don't hate this idea actually. Well, the Hooters part I don't like necessarily. But the idea of guys getting together and acknowledging that one of them is having a baby, even if it's just in the 30 seconds they take to carry in and set down the pack of diapers, is kind of nice.
Diaper party: okay Coed: okay Co-workers invited: okay At Hooters: ew
H won't go to Hooters because he doesn't like the idea that women's bodies are (at least loosely) tied into their employment. Then I explained it's like a baby shower for guys and he was like, "Hell no, the benefit to being a guy in these situations is not having to go to these things."
I had thought maybe it was a second kid. Nope. First.
DH had one at work for DD, worked with women (who weren't friends) but obviously didn't want an actual shower so they did a diaper shower for him. We didn't have to buy diapers for months, it was awesome.
I've only heard of people in my hometown doing these. I know one guy whose diaper party was a poker night with a diaper buy in. KLASSY.
My bff's dh and his friends do this but poker is their thing and they have weekly poker nights anyway so they would have been having the poker night anyway they just change the buy in. Better than Hooters
Hooters would have solved Elsa's baby shower problem of people wanting to bring their 4 year olds. Then again the woman who took home food would probably pick the wings off table for her DH and Dd,
