I'll be doing a super easy spin today when it warms up (other reasons ya'll know of). Since it's not even 5 am I'm going back to bed, will cook a big breakfast, and see where the day goes. Later tonight I plan to watch some great commercials with a football game interspersed. I want to see Cold Play and how they will incorporate Beyonce in the Half Time Show given their different entertainment styles. I like both performers (Put a Ring On It!), so it will be interesting.
I'm up. I was supposed to meet a friend soon but it's raining in parts and cold. I don't mind rain but hate cold rain so now I need to do it on my own. I have my race Saturday and am not doing well speed wide at all but my right hamstring is acting weird. Now I'm wondering If I should skip today but I'm undertrained big time for this race Ugh I don't know what to do
Getting ready to do 14 miles then going to head to a museum with the kids. Super Bowl party later at our friends house. I'm thinking we'll leave around half time to put the kids to bed.
I ran 3 miles and did some meal planning today. The sweetest of our beagles died last week, so I've been in a funk. 2016 has gotten off to a terrible start, so even though I don't normally celebrate Chinese New Year, I am this time around just to declare a new start to the year. We get tomorrow off for the holiday, so we get to watch the Super Bowl in the morning.
I also just signed up for the Nike Women's Half. I'm focusing on 5Ks this year, but some co-workers want to do their first half, so I'm going to train and run it with them.
I'm up. We got some freezing rain last night, so it looks like another treadmill run for me. I don't have a distance in mind yet. I'll probably run while DS naps this afternoon
I'm up for a 7 miler with my running bff. I'm glad I'm meeting someone, otherwise I might not get out the door. I was up until 2:30. That was not a wise choice.
I want to get in at least 5 miles today, maybe more depending on how my legs feel. I just called the water department and the boil water order should be lifted by 11am!!!! I'm so excited to potentially be able to shower at my own house again and do dishes. We are meeting with brokers at 1pm to sign them as our buyer's agents. Whoop whoop!
Edit: They just updated websites and we can use our water!!! I'm so happy.
I have soccer at 9 (yay snow being gone!) Then watching EPL with soccer buddies. Later I have my virtual book club and then watching the super bowl at a friend's place. I'm excited for a fun day!
I'm up. It's a rest day. I'm sore from my 19 yesterday, but feel much better than I did last night. I have Girl Scout stuff all day until the Super Bowl, which we are just watching at home. Go Panthers!
I'm sorry, coconutbug. I hope 2016 eases up on you soon.
I just got up. Drinking coffee on the couch. I should probably do some sort of exercise at some point. I need to foam roll the hell out of my calves, assess how the Achilles feels, and then decide what that exercise should be.
I still haven't gotten out to run. After the run with my friend got rained out I went back to bed. Ugh now I really don't want to run My right glute and hamstring are still tight and angry. I should skip and do something else but I'm so under trained for my hilly race Saturday. Ugh it's not going to be pretty. I'm actually quite panicked about it lol
I'm up. Waiting for it to at least get to 40 degrees before heading out for 5-6 miles. My hip is still hating on me so who knows how it will go. And I'm sore from yoga yesterday. When will that shit get easier?
Sorry about the pup coconutbug Saying goodbye to pets is so hard.
I am so sorry coconutbug. I back your celebrating Chinese New Year.
I am up drinking coffee. No runs planned today (54 miles completed this week). I would love to get some yoga in. I definitely need to do some foam rolling at the least. We are hosting a super bowl party so we have some work to do.
Oh no clseale! What is going on with your Achilles? I have been MIA this week in here. Despite the fact that I only work p/t, I have been crazy busy with work. A certain city in the Midwest that is getting a lot of attention. . . Grrr!
I'm up. Will hang out with DS and have some coffee, then do some meal planning. Have to get in 7 when DH comes home from his trip. Thankfully he stayed at his mom's last night instead of driving the 3+ hours home after being up since 4am. At some point I have run to the grocery store before the game starts.
I'm waiting till it is a little warmer to run for an hour or so. We are also out of milk, so I am waiting, very impatiently, waiting for Mr. GT to get back from the grocery store with milk. The pup had an ear infection and kept us up last night, so coffee is necessary. Other than that we are finishing painting our kitchen ceiling and then heading out to a super bowl party.

I don't know, really, other than it's being an asshole. I THINK (hope) it's just a result of really tight calves. I'm foam rolling a ton & I'm going to schedule a massage for this week. It just started at the end of last week. I had a great 18-miler yesterday & told DH that if that was the marathon, I could have pushed through, but it's just holding be back in terms of speed work & weekly mileage, because I'm afraid of legit hurting it. Hopefully I'll get some knots worked out & I'll see an improvement.
