I need help. Ok. I'm organizing all our digital photos so it goes back I guess 10 years or so. I have taken all the photos from all the devices (camera, cell phones, external hard drive) and have dumped them all into my h's pc. I have purchased lots of cloud (lol, I don't know the real terms) for my iPhone so I know that the last year is floating around in space backed up, but that won't work on the picture files on the computer bc it's not apple, right? How do I back up those photos in a cloud-like situation? What are my options? In the end it'll be thousands.
I know amazon prime has digital photo storage for free. Not sure about the size limit. Dropbox charges you over a certain amount of space. You can definitely add photos onto iTunes from camera etc. I've done it.
Amazon's picture storage is awesome, if you have Prime. I can back up my phone pictures to it or anything on my computer and it is unlimited storage. It is pretty easy to use and I like that I can view all my pics from the phone app.
I use Dropbox but I haven't exceeded the free file storage. One major advantage is the integration with the Nixplay digital frames that my parent's and IL's have. Makes it super easy to send photos to them and is accessible anywhere, even without my phone.

I use Dropbox and any pics I take on my phone automatically sync to it. I pay $9.99 a month and have been happy with it. It's easy to share things with other people.

Can you download iCloud drive or software on your PC? I think there's a way to regularly upload photos from there. I know I've accessed my iCloud from a non Apple computer before.

Can you tell me how it works? Thanks!
For your phone you download the app and it will ask if you want to sync your phone photos. Then everytime you open the app on wireless, it will download any new ones since the last time you added pics.
On a PC there is a program that you download from the amazon site. When you open the app and log in it will ask you what folders you want to upload. Select the pic folders and then they are saved there. It took about 20 min for it to upload all my pics.
In both the desktop program and your phone app the folders will be saved for you to see all the pics at any time. You can hve the program on multiple computers and as long as you log in with your amazon info you can upload pics from differ computers. (not a tech person, so I dont know if all my terms here were correct)
