It feels so good to be WFH today after going in to the office the last four work days in a row.
I'm just chilling here. Got some stuff to do. Homework got released today. So I need to plug away at that because I have a busy week end ahead. I need to call and follow up with Macy's on my dispute I mailed. I hope they surprise me and have good news, but I have a feeling I am going to get a what dispute response.
We're putting an offer on a house today. H is starting to get cold feet because we will need to remodel it. I am looking forward to a potential remodel, he is getting stressed. The house is ugly and the pictures they do have don't show much of the house so I won't be sharing pictures. We are preparing ourselves to be rejected.
I am working on getting myself moving. I've been so impressed with H and getting the fence worked on the last two days after he gets home from work. He has just one section left to put up before he's done. But last night he found another post that will need to be replace a little further down the fence. So he is thinking he might just do it to get it done this weekend. Like he said when he finally works on knocking projects off his list 10 more suddenly come up.
This has been a doozy of a morning. It started off with Conan's walk trying to avoid a dog who was walking around off leash in the apartment's general yard area (one of the things I like about my apartment is the huge amount of yard space it has), and his owner running around totally naked in front of the sliding glass doors with the blinds up. Thankfully the dog was friendly, but that neighbor didn't pick up the dog's poo once she got dressed and came out to get her dog.
Then there is some stupid stuff at work that keeps coming up since I haven't had a direct manager since August. Wish I had some booze in my coffee.

I don't know what to say. My mind is all over the place.
I'm starting to not like Tman's school and I'm not sure if my reasons are valid or valid enough to make a change. I hate to have him change schools again, but they made a big change to the administration over the summer and I don't like how I see things going. They seem to be getting rid of some great programs and they say they are working on replacing it with something they think is more appropriate, but so far, nothing. And they are raising the tuition and starting to nickel and dime us. Hot lunch is $5, FIVE DOLLARS! Someone brought up in a meeting if the prices could be reduced for the Elementary kids since they eat less, so they implemented a $4 lunch for preschool, kept lunch at $5, and started offering a $6 option with a bigger portion. These aren't fancy meals. They are typical school lunch type meals. They use to provide a bottle of water, but now they just have a water cooler they let the kids get water from. No milk offered. That's crazy, right? Five dollars? And if a kid would forget their lunch, they use to let them do an IOU, but they just sent a note home saying that this will no longer be allowed. That the kid will have to ask his classmates to share with him. This hasn't been an issue for us, but come on. It's supposed to be a Christian school, and you know they are making quite a profit on these lunches. I guess they have had too many people do the IOUs, but there has to be something they can do besides making the kids mooch off their friends.
There is other stuff, too, it's not just the lunch. They sent this email after the end of Q2 saying that now that we are half way through the school year, these are the things that need to change and then three gripes. It seems like everything is going in a negative direction. One thing that we really loved about the school when we toured it was how it felt so warm and family oriented. Now it feels like a business. There seems to be much less grace in the way things are being handled.
I'm really frustrated. Re-enrollment packets are due at the end of February. And I am just sitting on the paperwork. I don't want to fill it out.
Tman's attitude has kind of been in the toilet lately, but he was super sweet yesterday and told me he loved me like a brazillion times.
James has been working late every day. Like so late we are on our way to bed when he gets home. It's driving me crazy.
Today, Tman has tutoring, and I think that's it. Hoping he doesn't have a bunch of homework.
Good luck with the offer monsterz !! Which neighborhood? Hopefully the needed work will scare off all the other potential buyers
Bitter Lake/Broadview I think is the neighborhood classification. We were hoping that but it looks like they received a cash offer and 1 other pre-inspection. A total of 3 offers is better than competing against 20+ offers.
Vibes monsterz georgeharrison That sounds really frustrating and I agree, that is WAY too much for a kid's lunch! Also, what kind of meals are they serving? And for a Christian private school, making a kid mooch of friends for food is total BS and makes me a little angry. What they should do at that point is maybe have something simple like a sandwich and an apple or give them the smaller portion or hell, just feed the kid!
Had PT this morning, annoyed I'm at some kind of 90% healthy plateau. I've also had this distracting tingling in my genitals (but not aroused, just an irritated nerve) and research shows that the nerve for that area goes through one of the problem muscles that keeps spasming and it's frustrating. Next week is my PT's last week and while I'll miss him as I really like him, I'm hoping the change in therapists and their techniques will get me that last 10% healthy again.
May I ask for magic nextie vibes for this afternoon? I'm going to duck out of work for a late "lunch" to go to the further away Starbucks for my phone screening interview. I'm trying really hard not to be nervous. :/
BabyA that's stupid they should still feed the kids... Or give you guys a way you can put money in so it is a credit system, but still $5!! That's ridiculous. When I was at high school (private) lunches might cost that much.
I'm not doing anything yet. I will tackle the laundry today, but I need to figure out what to eat first. Working 2nd makes me feel tired all the time. Bleh.

@ksta, good luck today. Let us know how it goes. I'm sure you will do awesome.
I just looked at the lunch menu again and it looks like they have started offering a beverage. But still, these are not $5 lunches. Here is this week's menu:

VIBES @ksta !
spunbutterfly - You made me do a little fist pump while on a break, while reading your response to someone's response on FB. :Y: I'm trying to avoid posting Primary stuff on FB, but with March 26th (WA Caucus Day) coming closer and closer, I just might.
georgeharrison,So public school lunches are A super unhealthy and B subsidized by tax dollars. So I would expect that a private school would offer a healthier/more expensive option. However, I would also expect that your private school tuition would cover the costs of the food. $100/month is a lot to pay in school lunches if you are already paying tuition. Does Tman HAVE to eat the school lunches? Do you have the option to make something homemade? They at least sound like balances meals and hopefully it's better quality than what they are feeding kids in public schools..
Personally, $100/month is not worth the relatively small hassle of making my own lunches so I would opt for that if possible. But I'm a tight ass with my budget. Lol.
Administration change is SO HARD. Hopefully things straighten out soon.
I'm having a good day so far. I got a big thing checked off my to-do list at work. I'm wearing a cute outfit and did my hair today too. I'm introducing the key note speaker at an event today...the superintendent of the school district where I work (not where I live) so I think it will be interesting even though not relevant to my family. Also, drop off for E this morning was tear-free. Hallelujah!

georgeharrison That is BS - you have every right to be mad and I would totally question the changes they're making if I were you. DD's school still feeds kids (they have a no kid goes hungry policy - and this is public school), so to not feed the kid and have them share w/a friend is not right at all. I would definitely not be OK with this and I think it should be the schools responsibility to contact the parents if there are to many IOU's out - not put it back on the kids. Her school lunch is $2.75 and adult lunches are $3.75 and look to have a similar menu (but with milk and a salad bar)...but DD refuses to buy lunch because she doesn't like it.
Not a lot going on today. DD is feeling better and is back to school. She was in such a good mood this morning until she got "stressed out" from trying to get her shoes on and get the dog in the house from the back yard. I'm not looking forward to the teen years with her.
I'm sad the rain is back - the nice sunny days were so great!

ilovebed, yes, we can send lunch from home and I do almost every day. Tman gets a "treat" to buy lunch on most Fridays so he can have the pizza. It's not really the lunch. That's just kind of an indicator of how the school functions. And the note about no more IOUs is really disturbing to me. Like I said, that's not an issue for us, but the thought of having a kid go hungry at a Christian school with plenty is discouraging to me. It's just this overall feeling that the school is no longer a ministry for people who want their kids to have a Christian based education (like it seemed to be when we enrolled him last year), but now more of a business. The tuition is going up, too, even though we were told that it wasn't going to.
I have a lot of frustration with the school. The lunch is a small part, but is telling in regards to the mindset.

Good evening! Past couple of days have been very blah. Nothing terrible, but they just kind of sucked. I'm feeling better about tomorrow though. I'm going to go see Deadpool at 11:40 Thursday night, I'm so excited!!!
Doing laundry and watching Key & Peele. Have a great night everyone!
