Sorry, but it had to be yelled. Do not feel guilty and enjoy getting your shit done without a little creature asking you a million questions while tugging on your shirt.
Umm. I've taken a whole week off and left my kid in daycare.
Eta I did feel bad about that. I don't feel bad about a day. I relish those days.
I do this every year before christmas. I get a few days to bake, wrap, clean and cook without anyone underfoot.
Well it's a short week because christmas but I don't feel guilty about it at all, it's better than him being parked in front of the tv all day so I can get the holiday stuff done.
I don't work on Fridays and i usually kept them home with me but often times I took advantage of having paid for it and sent them anyways. And made h do the drop off so I didn't have to get up early. Do it!
Hell yes. I'm taking a half day tomorrow and my H and I are going to spend the day together and see a movie. Deadpool, movie popcorn and candy here I come.
Yes, usually, unless there is stuff going on or we have family in town that want to see the kids. Usually if I'm off its less hours (like I drop them off at 9:00 instead of 7:15am) but they still go.

I did it on MLK Day and I'm doing it Monday! I'll take my time getting her there in the morning though, I like giving her breakfast and hanging out a bit. There will definitely be a nap involved that day.
God, I'm jealous! I have to work on Monday and Frank doesn't have school . But with DH's schedule, there are a few times a year I actually take off of work and send him to school so I can have quiet me time - aka, a glass of wine with lunch and nap, lol.
When we first moved to the where we live now I quit my job due to a long commute. I had six weeks off and he went to day care the whole time (a couple of days here and there off for activities). So yeah. Bring him to daycare and enjoy your day off.
Hells yes. I pay an extraordinary amount for his preschool and damn it, he's going.
I will say that I do engage in Play Hookey days--when we have to go to the dentist or something, we will go to the trampoline park before and lunch after.
Part of it is that H works from home and let's face it, a 4 year old is loud. That shit ain't gonna fly when he's on the phone with big clients. Hell, he gets after me for making a lot of noise, and I don't!
Heck yes. It allows me to get things done. Plus, I get yelled at if I pick them up too early as they are having fun with their friends. I'm paying for it so I may as well get my moneys worth.

YES. Some time to yourself is nice. Of course, the time to yourself with most likely be cleaning, running errands, etc. BUT, it is time spent alone. Like going to the bathroom alone!
