This was posted then quickly deleted. And the #HowToTalkToBlackWomen started trending.
So a bunch of white women were learning how to preach to black woman the wonders of Bernie?? And one was stupid enough to tweet that?
Yep. And then they said the picture is fuzzy, there were black women there too so it's not as bad as it sounds. Interestingly, no other pictures have been posted or shown. So it may actually be true, but the optics are terrible.
Right!!! Hello, free tuition for college is cool and all but Scott is sure as hell not going to help you.
That part of it frustrates me the most. Yes, have your revolution change the world but we still have to work with assholes.
This is (part of) why I just can't get on board with Bernie. Sure, your political revolution may happen in Vermont, but here in Wisconsin you're not going to get everyone to rise up and support free tuition and universal healthcare.

See? This is why she's better qualified than him. People may call it "rehearsed," but her references to Scott Walker and Dontre Hamilton show that she DOES HER RESEARCH.

I wonder if Bernie has ever been south of the Mason Dixon. Or like west of Philadelphia? I guess he's in Milwaukee tonight!
I looked at his record when I was doing some research on the Bernie thread. I was not impressed. Not with his veterans bills (other than the COLAs, he was not an original co-sponsor on any veterans bill that I saw; that's one of my button issues.) Not mental health. Not health care. nada. AND HE'S ON THE COMMITTEE. He couldn't get it up to get in early enough to sign in time for bills' introduction from his own committee because it's not Wall Street.
The baby screening one? HILLARY WAS AN ORIGINAL SPONSOR AND BROUGHT THE 2005 VERSION TO THE FLOOR AND SIGNED ON EVERY ONE FROM 2003 TO THE 2007 VERSION. Same with a lot of the women's rights cases, particularly early on. Sponsor but not original sponsor in a majority of women's rights, equal pay, child care or any other bill. I'd take the time to type all 203, or at least the 79 (or 80-something with the COLAs from committee) in which he was an ORIGINAL sponsor and compare to Hillary's record (77 bills passed, 44 of which she was an ORIGINAL co-sponsor.)
i have no idea how people find him inspiring. he's SO condescending, it drives me insane.
I used to be a huge supporter. Until I started listening to him speak. And now I hate him.
I enjoyed listening to him on the Thom Hartmann show, though even then I'd tune him out sometimes during his rants, lol. But he hasn't changed at all, his focus is exactly the same. And his shouting lectures don't appeal when I think of who I want to be President.

They always said the same thing about Obama. Personally, I'm happy to have a President who isn't prone to verbal gaffes.
I think she did a really good job speaking to systemic racism issues, showing she knows there are multiple facets to the issue. His responses just seem so lacking after her detailed comments.
