I feel like the tic police but I'm pretty sure that D now has a tic too. She makes little sounds whenever she watches tv or has a story read to her. We just saw the pedi last month for H's snapping and jaw movements. The finger snapping has calmed down but she still does it with her toes and the jaw chattering thing is frequent. The pedi believes they are transient tics and are soothing. I was hoping nothing tic related would come up with this noise thing but it's posted on tons of forums about tics. It seems weird that they both are doing these things. This is a video of D PDQ vimeo.com/155078502
Natalie does this sometimes, too! She started about a month ago. It was really frequent at first. H kept asking her to stop, and I told him to just ignore it so we didn't bring attention to it and hopefully it'd just go away.
I haven't noticed her doing it as much lately. Maybe a couple of times here and there, but nowhere near as often. She also would do it when watching tv.
This type of noise was never on my radar. I'm glad it's becoming less frequent for N. This was the age H had her blinking tic. It almost sounds like she's narrating. The doctor also said to just ignore it when we discussed H.

Also, I'm pretty sure it started the day after our failed weaning experiment. We've since kept nap and bedtime nursing but skip the mornings. She doesn't seem to mind but I hope this isn't some weird manifestation of that
I'm sorry. M has some weird things where she has to flick her fingers 3 times and lock and unlock the door of the car every time we drive plus a thing where she says "one more time" and then repeats whatever she just did. I talked to a therapist about it and advice was to ignore unless it seemed to get bad in which case we could offer rewards for stopping. But also to focus on stress relief by doing deep breathing, yoga poses, and mindfulness meditation like watching glitter fall in a jar. The stress relief stuff seems tobe helping. Not sure if it would help in this case but might be worth a try.
I don't really have much advice. I think I shared before but I have some tics which I have had as far as I can remember and it's a soothing thing. Restlessness makes it worse. I'm sorry you have to worry about it.
Random but seeing D in video I just know C would be absolutely smitten by her! Both girls are so darn cute! I'm sorry weaning failed. I've given up on progress on that front for now too. Hugs to you!
