I thought that DVR ratings are included but kind of after the fact? I could have sworn I heard them talking about.. something.. that was essentially "After DVR ratings were added, 100 bazillion people watched the whatever." I obviously remember these details exactly, so there's a significant chance it's not true.

Right, that was my understanding too. So the live ratings are often weighted heavier, but dvr'd programs are (eventually) taken into to account too.
Eta: also hi fkaholly - I've set my dvr to record but will be sure to turn it on live if I happen to be around when it does air. Also, I feel it's kind of unfair for them to measure the ratings on a repeat episode. Many people will already have seen it and will likely not tune in because of that. What stinkers. lol

Thanks girl!! Ugh, it's such a roller coaster! I think the issue was it aired over the holidays which skews things, but I agree it's less likely people will watch a second time. its pretty much the epitome of first world problems lol

Well I have all my crossables crossed for you! It was a fun episode, my only critique would be it went by far too fast, it needs to be an hour long not just a half hour. I would have loved to have seen more of the process. I really hope you guys get to tape more episodes.
Omg, my HGTV show premiers tomorrow too! Other than that, just getting Emmys and such, no big.
Haha! Congratulations! I adore renovation shows, I'm in!
Tell me about it, #thestruggleisreal (sorry tators!)
message boards are funny, when I was on a style board about 7 years ago a poster I talked to and liked a lot was like " does this outfit look good enough to wear to the Grammys?" and well her best friend has gone on to be one of the biggest acts in music today and she still gives me tickets to concerts. It's I big, yet really small world online. wow, sorry for the tangent Cville, I hope you like it! I love your taste ~

Just watched and really liked it! You and your H have a lot of personality without being obnoxious and over the top. Love the colors you chose for the exterior!
Did you renovate other houses while you were there?

I just watched it- I saw this thread after seeing it. I really liked the work you did. The house turned out beautiful, very open, light and airy. (PS, you don't know me, I'm a lurker, but I couldn't resist responding)
I just watched and loved it! You and your DH are really likeable, and the reno turned out great. Also, i like that the progress was much faster than watching a flip on your blog, lol! So where do we go to tell HGTV to air more episodes??

Loved it, fkaholly! And it seems like it's getting a lot of great comments on FB (wink).
Any NO folks know why the bedrooms have two single doors like that? I assume it's get more air circulating, but wasn't sure if it was a shotgun house thing or not.
