This road trip, man. I remember the drive was easy peasy last time. This time, not so much. DS has had to stop to pee about 65445 times. And I think the portable DVD remote fell out of the car somewhere in KY. I remember something hitting my foot but I didn't see anything and didn't investigate.
I wish dh would go get me pho but he's not 100% either and had a really long week.
Im debating painting our master bedroom. It would look great but I don't want it to feel weird/disconnected because the rest of the house is all 1 color (revere pewter). Maybe painting the rest of the house needs to go on the to do list...
H and I had a fun day date and went to see Deadpool and then got coffee on the way home. Our original plan was a late lunch after the movie, but we ate too much popcorn. (osulori The movie was fun, but a bit cheesy at times. A few nice shots of Ryan Reynolds shirtless, too.)
The kids had a blast with FIL while we were gone and were both asleep before 7.
We're watching TV now and I think I'm going to take a bath soon and have a glass of wine.
I learned that my sick kid will nurse if you walk around the house while he is doing it. This is annoying, but it makes me so much less stressed about keeping him hydrated.
It randomly snowed here today and it was the so beautiful. It was the best type of snow too because it was fun to watch, but was all gone in an hour.
I totally flipped on my MIL tonight and I am hiding in my room while Stella sleeps. DH is downstairs talking to her and telling her to STFU. She's been critiquing our parenting since we got here and DH keeps being stern with her but I hit my breaking point. He told her if she doesn't stop we will leave and check into a hotel. I'm hoping it works.
In good news DD is doing really well on vacation and is the cutest ever. Look how cute she is in her little Lilly shift!
Today has been a good day. It was a good balance of rest and accomplishments. Just put C down and every time I kissed him somewhere he would wipe it away with his hand. I should probably be offended, but he was cute while doing it.
After nursing D I'm going to have my first drink since last April. It's some kind of hard cider that the guy at the liquor store told H was really good. Here's hoping he's right!

I remember that drive. We did it every year until i was in HS.

We're thinking about taking E for his first haircut tomorrow. I keep trying to brush it off to the side but it just keeps falling in his eyes! I think it's time, lol. There is one kid's haircut place in my area that I know of so I'm trying to decide if we should just go there since they're probably better with a squirmy almost 1 year old than Great Clips or something (though I know some of them can be great too). I just know it's probably overpriced!
My kids go to a home daycare with a 16m old and a newborn. Between the daycare lady, her mom and the other two kids my girls were given stuffed owls, lunch boxes, books, coloring books, animal crackers, teddy Graham's, suckers, and cloth bags. This is insane right? Last year she'd only been watching my girls a couple weeks and no presents were exchanged so I didn't get anything for anyone. Now I'm feeling really cheap but since when was Valentine's Day a major gift event?? I had planned on getting some candy but ran out of time and figured the other kids are so little it doesn't matter.
The other kids didn't give my kids Christmas presents so this is extra weird to me.
DS1 and I are making our way through Rad American Women A-Z.
He decided to look ahead because he couldn't think of any name that starts with an X and he wanted to know who they chose. Then I said, I actually just met someone whose name starts with an X and he was like, "Well...is she rad, though? I think if she were a rad woman, she'd be in the book, you know?" lol, sorry fashionx .

We sent play doh for the three kids that are old enough to play with it , but I never bought anything for the babies. I feel kind of bad now because the babies got DS a Valentine. No candy at all, he got stickers, a bouncy ball, an organic fruit bar of some sort, and Pirate Booty (my favorite!)
We went and had fancy ice cream tonight at my sisters new job. I wore yoga pants and just feel like a complete slob. Maybe tomorrow I can motivate myself to dress up.

Ooh, although not book worthy (yet) I have a rad tech one for him.
I'm drinking wine at home now, going through the photos I had taken this afternoon at Target portraits of DD and myself.
We all went out tonight to Half Price Books (this is the third outing, so maybe it's becoming our new Friday night thing?), and DH got some more Nintendo NES games (also becoming a thing around here), and I got some board books for DD.
I thought N escaped all the sickness at his school. But, 100.4 fever tonight. What's it going to be? Flu? RSV? HFM? Fifth's? Endless possibilities, end result = the suck.
DD got lots of stickers, some tattoos, some popcorn and fruit snacks. I think that was mainly it? They had their party yesterday since lots of kids were gone today b/c of no school and I had conferences until 8pm last night so I've barely looked in her bag.
We gave every kid a book. I figured it was perfect for little babies all the way up to the oldest kids there. Easy too!!
I may have just locked in a (record breaking?) refi for us. 15 yrs at under 2%. Holy shit. Of course i was hurrying and won't get final numbers until Tuesday.
The custom name hat from Etsy came a few days ago but because of a crazy busy week I just opened the package tonight. You guys, I LOVE it! I had one for DD too, but it was a totally different style. It's so cute and sooooo tiny!
