V-Dh just sent me a text that he was called out to a fire (forest-he works in forestry) & most likely will not be home till late. I kinda feel like crying. This move was hard enough & all he has been doing is working. We are both so pooped at the end of the day to spend any quality time together. We went from having three days off together to barely one. Sucks!
R- Going to work on a mound of laundry today-Yay! Then planning on picking up & having a (hopefully) relaxing day with the kiddos.
V: It snowed cats and dogs pretty much all day yesertday and all night, so even though I shovelled with DS a coup,e of days ago, we're pretty much snowed in again. DH is out there shovelling again and I'm trying to keep DS occupied because he really wants to go out with him but it's just way too cold.
AW: We're going to the kitchen/bath place this afternoon and will hopefully get close to finalizing our kitchen and bathrooms in the new house - it's pretty fun.
R: I picked up a bottle of sparkling wine yesterday at the insistence of the wine store lady, so I'm debating whether maybe we should have it for an early V Day tonight with popcorn and a movie.... Ever have sparkling wine with popcorn? It's good.
Oh, I have one more (petty) vent: yesterday at the grocery store I got a box of paczkis (Polish filled doughnuts). I asked the lady for a box of half Bavarian cream (for DH) and half raspberry (for me). I discovered last night that she gave me all Bavarian cream. I'm still pretty bummed about it.
R: momin2013, I wish we would get some of your snow. AW: I think I have the best friends in the world. We had such a fun night out. Everything was perfect. Until..... V: As we were leaving the city, I txt my MIL to check in on the kids, and DD has come down with the stomach flu. ,

R- The little guy is transverse still (at 35 weeks). I'm hoping when I go for my growth scan on Thursday he will be head down. Fingers crossed!
V- I'm feeling stressed about all the unknowns in our life right now. There may be a big move in the near future and a huge lifestyle change, but we won't know for a few weeks and the anticipation is driving me crazy. Plus, add waiting for #2 to arrive. I feel like I have constant butterflies in my stomach. I'm trying to stay as distracted as possible, but I hate not knowing what the "plan" is!
AW: DD is the cutest. She tries to copy everything we do. She now wants to make her bed (she is still in a crib) before we take her out. And she's running around with tissues wiping everyone's nose, including her dolls. I love this stage

Oh no! Hope your DD gets better and no-one else gets it!

R: Aw: V: 4 year olds yo!
V2: no naps! Kids were up at 5am to see dh off and they are so wound up from my family visiting they wouldn't nap. V3: dd2 apparently has the shits. I've never seen so much poop in all my life. Guys, it's everywhere! I may throw my bathroom rug out along with the diaper. We cloth diaper, that's really saying something. V3 my mother just tried to tell me that we really should consider just staying inside and home this weekend. It's cold. It would be easier. Ummm no, nope not gonna be trapped inside all weekend. Sometimes getting out is sanity saving. Apparently she doesn't feel sorry for me (I didn't ask her to?) because she didn't have help with my brother and I ever since my parents were divorced so she knows all about not having an adult around. Yeah, I was not interested in her attempt at pain olympics. It was not the point.
I don't know why I opened this thread. I've got nothing atm.
chatterbox I'm sorry you have so many unknowns, that sounds very stressful.

Thanks. I know I just have to hold tight for a few more weeks and chill out in the meantime! It sounds like your week of solo parenting is off to a rough start! I hope things turn around and your DD's tummy starts feeling better. You deserve an easy week!!!
R: We got a few flurries yesterday and they are calling for more snow tomorrow. I needed groceries because we have no food. There was barely any bread or eggs. I still don't understand what people are making with bread, milk, and eggs if/when it snows. AW: I survived my first week without my kids. It was not easy but I made it. I had a couple nights alone but my friends really stepped up and kept me busy all week. So grateful for new and old friends and for learning who really cares and is there to support me. V: I have a terrible cold (possibly a sinus infection)and can't get rid of it. I hate going to the doctor and don't usually do well with antibiotics but I might have to suck it up and go. I'm so tired of being sick.
jnksmom did you Gus work out a custody agreement? It sounds like full weeks? That would be so hard! Big hugs! When do they come back to you?
We decided to do full weeks for now. It is a temporary plan though. It is a little easier for me because I teach at the same school my kids attend. STBXH can't pick them up until 5 most days so they come to my classroom after school and he picks them up from me instead of sending them to childcare randomly. They came back to me yesterday and I have them until Friday evening.
