This girl who probably weights 110 (soaking wet) just posted a grocery cart full of food saying "diet starts now - gotta get ready to get in a bathing suit"
I'm totally jealous because if I had her body I'd be running around naked, and she's a sweetheart but fuck man. I've been eating so much better, and getting off my ass and I've lost like 2 pounds (on and off) for the last month.
Seriously with the exception of today I've been keeping the calories between 1200-1400 and either walking or doing a combo C25K and walking.
Also, my mom texted me earlier for the sole purpose of scolding me. "Are you taking a daily vitamin." "No." "You are a busy working mother of two and keep getting sick. Take a vitamin. I'll buy you some at Costco."
My 8 month old has decided he doesn't want to lay still for diaper changes. He immediately starts to roll and flip over, and he's strong! Once he rolls over he crawls away (I've given up on the changing table for now and change him on the floor so he doesn't fall).
This has been going on for 2 weeks, is it a phase? Or is he never going to sit still again?
The worst is when he has a poopy diaper and smears it all over my hands/his legs/socks as I'm trying to wrangle him.
Suggestions?
My 2.5 year old still does this. I usually have to throw a leg over his chest to hold him down. Diaper changing gymnastics. Sometimes if I push his feet high enough over his head/chest he has a harder time fighting too. Good luck-it's nearly impossible sometimes.

I always put a diaper underneath before I even open the dirty one, and I have a few wipes already dispensed and nearby if I know it's a particularly gross diaper.
I also grab DD by the ankles with one hand (holding her tush high off the changing surface) and wipe with my dominate hand until it's "under control," then let her rest on the clean diaper beneath her while I finish up.
I just went to the grocery store, there had to be 100 different Valentine balloons blown up all over the store. What do they do with them if they don't sell?
Kroger gives them to the kids. Allie's second Valentine's they gave her two of the giant ones that played music.
I watched the GOP debate and the second game in a series against a bitter hockey rival (we swept them!). My heart needs to chill out. I'm going to eat a bowl of cereal and go to bed.

Our babysitter called at 6 to cancel for tomorrow. She reassured me she and her H never do Valentines. She said he planned dinner out for them. I'm extremely annoyed. I have already preordered her and Allie's dinner and got her a gift from the kids. H and I wanted to go to dinner and just spend time together

Oh, God. DS started doing this a month or so ago. There have been instances where his face is mashed into the changing table while I'm holding his ankles in the air and frantically trying to scrape poop off his butt.
So far, my best method is to use one hand to hold both ankles and pin the elbow of that arm into his chest. It seems most effective for keeping him from twisting to roll over. It's such a pain in the ass though.
It's definitely been going on for at least a month, but seems to be getting a little better.
Friends who I haven't see in ages got into a legit argument over whether leftover pizza needs to be refrigerated or is still edible if left out in the box.
I am dreading my car ride driving from Boston to Virginia tomorrow solo with a 14 month old and a 2 month old. I'm hoping my mom will take pity on me and volunteer to take a road trip but I think this is just wishful thinking. Hold me.
Kanye is on snl right now wearing a pearl and diamond encrusted cardigan and it's hilarious. It looks like something a mother of the bride would wear. Lolll

This lasted until ds1 hit 12 months for us. It was horrible. I tried to block this phase from memory.
I have another separate random which peeved me today. A fb friend has gotten into selling diet crap online. She sends me a message after I posted a photo of my two boys and I being all chipper like, "oh heeeeeeyyyyy long lost friend who I haven't spoken to in years - saw you had two babies in 12 months and you must be absolutely dying to lose allll thatttt pregnancy weight." I didn't think the picture was THAT bad that someone would proactively email me to buy their stupid crap farce weight loss products.
