Chai Tea Lattes if I have a sore throat, grilled cheese and creamy tomato soup otherwise. Just plain old grilled cheese. Also it used to be my grandfather's veggie soup, but I haven't had that in 13 years. No one can make it like he did, and he didn't have a set recipe at all which made it more difficult. I'm excited to try the soup a co-worker brought me Friday, she ate it last week and it smelled just like his soup did.
If I'm sick and not nauseous, Campbell's tomato soup with oyster crackers or goldfish. Velveeta shells and cheese also, but it's super rare because I never buy it so isn't just sitting in the cupboard waiting when I get sick. I always have tomato soup.
If I'm nauseous, saltines and ginger ale are the only things I'll eat.
Chicken soup, orange or apple juice and ice cream are my tops.
A few years ago I came down with something like the flu. I felt like death and was in so much pain. I laid in bed crying, wishing I had some melatonin or something to knock myself out for awhile. My muscles ached, my throat was raw and hurt so bad and I felt weak and miserable.
I begged my now ex-dh to get me the above - all I could think about was an icy cold glass of orange juice. He instead lectures me that none of those are 'good' for me and instead gives me plain water and then makes me chicken salad sandwiches - yup, a nice mixture of roast chicken from the store, lots and lots of mayo and celery.

Tea, ginger ale, and Wawa Chicken Noodle soup. If I can't talk DH into getting me Wawa, I'll settle for Campbell's chicken and rice. Not store brand. Must be Campbell's. When I was little my grandfather would always make us scrambled eggs and toast. No one makes eggs quite like his and I miss him horribly every time I get really sick.
