My goals -All food to less than $500 - At $316 with a plan to go to Costco tomorrow -Nothing for DD - Nothing else new -No clothes for H or me - Good with this -Eat out less. I'd like to keep it under 8 times - We are at 4x -Sell at least $50 worth of stuff from this house - Have sold about $80 of stuff!
No real plans this week, so can't imagine I'll be spending any money. H and I had 24hrs without DD yesterday into today so we went out for dinner together last night. I am not including that in our food budget since it was a special occasion (kid-free = special, right?!) but I did put it towards our eating out tally. Amazingly we walked around a mall and a bunch of other stores and spent $0.
I need to go to Costco tomorrow for at least some fruit, veggies, bread, chicken, lunch sides, dog food and maybe some other meat depending on my freezer inventory. With all the meat I know it'll add up, but I am hoping to be under $150. We'll see :-#
- Spend less than $400 ($300 was DH's lowered goal) on groceries/household necessities. $207 this month. DH is really taking this seriously! - Spend less than $100 on restaurant meals for dinner or on weekends. We've spent about $125 this month. We've had some really long, unexpected days this week where we didn't bring food and couldn't wait until we got home We also ate out for Valentines Day. - Lunch at work no more than 1x/wk. Met goal. - Starbucks no more than 1x/week. $0. Someone I had a meeting with bought me coffee - my only starbucks this month! - No clothes or houseware purchases. 0 purchases so far. I even went to the mall to kill time while I waited for a friend, who gave me $500 worth of her old baby stuff (and I only spent money for a drink/snack)! I consider that a huge win. - Avoid Target and Costco as much as possible. I need one more trip to Target for the Pharmacy this month and shouldn't need to go to Costco at all.
As usual, dinner was fine, but I went out to lunch twice. Err, three times because I picked up lunch for me and H on my way home on Friday.
Goal 2: No unnecessary spending.
I did purchase a desk, but used the rest of my Target gc, so only $40 out of pocket. I also need to buy a chair, but I don't want to spend much. I also bought a board book for Ollie.
Goal 3: No spending at Target (other than gc).
I used the rest of my GC and paid $40 out of pocket. No more spending there for the rest of the month!
- Limit Starbucks to 1x per week - I was in Colorado visiting my family so I had given myself a break from this challenge because my mom goes everyday. I still managed to keep it down to 3 times. - No toy purchases. - I spent $16 on toys for Valentine's Day. - Limit clothes purchases to $50 for entire family. - I spent $40 at the children's place and got some awesome deals!
