On the kitchen floor, in a corner, by a hutch We keep the daycare bag in the same spot.
We don't keep a table in the kitchen because it's relatively small, but then without the table, there's plenty of floor space. I'dream of having a mud room and storage space ideal for this kind of thing, but alas, it's not meant to be.
Can I ask what people keep in a work bag that they bring back and forth?
I usually just have my purse and when I'm nursing a pump bag. Just curious what others are carrying. Planner? Laptop?
I don't carry a purse during the week - just my work bag. I have a purse organizer in it that holds: hair ties, hand cream, excedrin, prescription migraine pills, lip stuff (a few types), tissues, extra battery for phone, etc. Then my wallet and lunch, sometimes shoes, plus my bluetooth headphones (for audiobooks), phone.
On the floor, up against the wall next to our coat hooks. It's as out of the way as possible. Which means it gets knocked over sometimes and bumped into by playing children. It's jumbled in with their backpacks and h's briefcase.
I used to keep it on a coat hook by the front door. We bought a wall mounted wooden rack from BB&B with 4 metal hooks.
If you're talking about a bag that you hope to have for a while I'd be careful about hanging particularly with stuff in it. My sister broke an LV Neverfull by hanging it too often.
Glitzy, I always have wallet, phone, work ID, a snack, and sunglasses. Sometimes an umbrella. If I'm taking the train that day, my iPad and my Kindle. If I am traveling to a client that day, my laptop too. When it is cold (so I'm wearing boots to work) or I'll be switching into heels, I have an extra pair of shoes in my bag.

Wallet and keys, extra phone charger, stethoscope, pens, extra breast pads, hair ties, batteries for my hearing aid, gum, chapstick, lotion, deoderant, nursing magazines and journals. And my lunch, water bottle, and bag that I use to carry my pump bottles back and forth.
It lives on a chair in my kitchen or next to the door to the garage.

I keep mine (an OG) next to my dresser in my bedroom on the floor.
I bring may laptop back and forth everyday b/c I'm always nervous a kid will get sick, I'll need to stay home, and won't have my laptop with me to WFH the next day. I also have my work ID, a small clutch with tampons/pads, pens, extra set of laptop cords and mouse, extra phone charger, etc.

In the guest room / office which is right by the door. Sometimes I put it under the desk where it belongs but most of the toe it ends up on the bed. I carry laptop, files umbrella, headphones, wallet etc because I carry a purse to work.

This is probably where I need to keep it. I usually keep our bedroom door closed because our room/bathroom aren't kid-proofed.
This is exactly why I keep it in our bedroom...otherwise, DS2 would constantly be getting in there, wearing my badge, putting shit in there, etc.
When I regularly worked outside, it lived on the floor of our entryway. Now that I only need it to go to the occasional meeting, it stays in my home office, hanging on a doorknob or just sitting on the floor.
I am failing all the organizational MMM questions. (The kitchen one caused me to come home from vacation this afternoon and immediately count the number of appliances sitting out on my counters.)
I keep mine on top of our shoe bench in the entryway.
Inside I have always have my wallet, a small makeup bag with essentials, work ID, a book, my planner, pens, a snack, a water bottle, and a folder for loose papers.

On the floor next to "my" side of the couch. It's a backpack -- I carry my laptop, charging cord, and mouse home each night from work, as well as a notebook, my planner, and my Kindle to read at lunch.
