Hey guys, just wanted to give you all an update! Lydia Eleanor was born this morning at 11:09, weighing 6lbs 10oz. Eighteen hours of labour, 25 minutes of pushing, and she is perfect. I'm exhausted, but no tearing this time!
Milo doesn't get it at all, he met her and just said "no" to everything... "Do you see the baby?" "Is the baby cute?" "Wave at the baby!" So hopefully he'll come around. He did enjoy counting her toes.
We get to go home tomorrow, so I'll post a picture then.
Congrats!! I bet you are already loving not being pregnant anymore. Can't wait to read your birth story. M sounds agreeable at least better than instant hate!
And here's an update on Milo: After we got home yesterday, he mostly ignored her, and said no every time we asked him a question about her. Right before bed, though, he noticed that she wasn't wearing her hat, so he brought it over to her and said "hack, hack!" until we put it on her. Today he says "baby!" every time she makes a noise, and he's helped with diaper changes a few times. He still refuses to touch her, but I'd say we're making progress!
