Fingers crossed for you! I thought the orange one tasted exactly like a "Huggie" (those little barrel shaped kid drinks. Mine was a blood draw, so I don't know how going to the bathroom would have helped, but who knows.
My random is that I got a cervical check this AM and mannnnn do those hurt. Is that kind of like what a contraction feels like? I've never had one (contraction) so I don't really know. Anyway, not even dilated to 1 so that's good because I really want to make it another two weeks to my due date. After that I'm ready!
I had to get another cervix check this week since my doctor was not the one to do it last week. STILL NOTHING GOING ON UP THERE just like I told them but whatever. At least it didn't really hurt.
I'm so tired of going to work and yesterday I was told that I needed to start letting my replacements handle my day to day stuff so I have even less to do now. 14 more work days till my due date.

I thought you meant it tasted like a diaper until I continued reading.

Haha, no, I am definitely not familiar with what those kind of Huggies taste like. I meant like these, which are now called "Little Hug Fruit Barrels?" littlehug.com/
pirate My due date is going to be my last day of work so I have 12 days left including today. It's definitely better if you are busy, the slow days are the longest. Also, if I could just wear yoga pants and a hoodie to work, it wouldn't be so bad. And if I didn't have to walk half a mile from the parking garage to my office!

Walking half a mile sounds awful! I decided to bring in thank you notes to write to fill up my time. I mean, I am glad they are trying to give me a break and also make sure things go smoothly while I'm gone, but I just wish I didn't have to put in 8 hours a day at my desk.

I was closed up last week, too
Going tonight to see if I've progressed! He has def dropped because I have like a constant pressure down there! 21 days to go for me!

My walk includes a morning stop at Brueggers for a breakfast sandwich. It has to, or else I have zero motivation to do it, haha. I am still finishing up some projects this week but after that it's going to really start to drag. Thank god for GBCN!

i have NO idea what i'm gonna wear for maternity photos.
also, not sure what to wear for a wedding this weekend, since it's gonna be cooler than anticipated and i'm worried i'll be too cold in a sleeveless dress.
REALLY hope the windows we ordered for the nursery and the recliner come in sooner rather than later, because 6 weeks from now is cutting it REAL CLOSE.

suzv, That's pretty ridiculous, all of those things are fine and they are your choice, your business anyway. People need to MYOB and let you do your thing. Ugh, I have pregnancy rage on your behalf.
KateAggie, Enjoy your last weekend before the baby! Good luck Monday, I'll be thinking of you.

I thought the cervical checks and stretch and sweep hurt more than labour lol. Honestly at the hospital they wanted to do those checks all the time and it was horrible until I got the epidural in then I was like - go ahead!
Contraction feels nothing like the check IMO, contraction is like really bad period pains. (I was induced and only had pitocin contractions though).
I'm thinking of trying out a mom's fitness class next week. I have never regularly worked out so I'm intimated because the class is no joke, but man I gained like 35-40 lbs with dd and I really want to watch it this time around. I was still up 10 lbs from pre-pg weight. I also don't want to get into anything too intense since my body is not use to it. Ugh, we'll see. I at least need to get my treadmill set back up and start using it again.
I'm super bummed. I had maternity pictures planned for this weekend but it's not going to happen because it's going to raining all the way up until Monday. I've already to reschedule twice.
I just bought a diet coke because I was craving it and I felt nervous walking back to my desk, like I was going to be judged for my caffeine intake. The store didn't have any caffeine free soda.
We FINALLY got our plans back from the architect for our addition/remodel, but at this point, I'm not in a rush because I don't think it's possible to have it done before baby arrives. Instead, I'm hoping we can start as soon as I go back to work in November.
DH and I seem to disagree on our plan for childcare. Since neither of us can quit work to SAH, I assumed we were both on board with a standard daycare center. He's hoping my mom will offer to provide full-time daycare for free or low cost. We've had plenty of discussions on how we want to raise children, but I guess this never came up before!

patbutcher, Ok, thanks. Yes I remember the checks being so painful last time at the hospital and then after the epidural I was like "Go right ahead!" Good to know that's not what contractions feel like.
On the "stupid things people say to pregnant people" topic... I just went to the bank and the tellers were asking when I was due. The one woman insisted on telling me how her daughter was induced and the baby swallowed meconium and almost died and had to go to the NICU. The other teller looked at me and was like "Yeah, that happened to my daughter to and she was fine...." But this lady was like "NO, it was really really serious and she almost died." Everyone was staring at her like ummmm please stop. I was like "Heh heh... ok... thanks?"
So I just realized that I'm wearing my yoga pants inside out. I've been to my kid's school almost all day helping with a fundraiser and I just noticed this. I'm blaming pregnancy brain.
Not pregnancy related, but I have to brag somewhere and social media doesn't need this lol. We're potty training, and DD hasn't had a pee accident since Sunday! For that matter, she's only had 1 accident since Sunday, period. I'm still reminding her to go every 45 minutes or so, but we're able to leave the house again, and I'm so excited!
I've had intermittent RLP all day today. It doesn't hurt too badly, but it's getting really annoying. I've had so much water and have taken it easy all day. I overdid it Tuesday and my body is still protesting.
After being a crazy acrobat and making me super uncomfortable for days the baby is quite calm today. Still moving but way way less. Which of course is worrying me. I just can't win!

After me overdoing it last weekend baby was super low key the beginning of the week. Maybe he was tired too? I was so worried but now he's moving around like crazy again.
Yeah, he's moved enough now that I'm not worried. I seem to go through this every few days. There's always something to fret about it seems.
@boognish, it's just like a pelvic exam, except they go further, up into your cervix to see if they can fit in a finger or two to check how dilated you are. For me it feels like a really intense cramp and really bad back pain and just ugh. It just hurts. I mean, it's fast and it's over quickly but I dread them because they hurt me so much.
Ugh, I'm 10 weeks tomorrow and for the past 24 hours I've been having brown spotting and light cramping. I just put a call into the OB and am waiting for a nurse to call back. I'm worried, I haven't had any spotting until now

I just made a terrible face imagining this. Pregnancy is so much fun. :/
Haha sorry. That was pretty descriptive. But this is why I skip them as much as possible! And at least you only need to get them at the very very end, not through the whole pregnancy or even whole 3rd tri. :-)
