I took Eleanor to a Picnic in the Park celebration hosted by the National Park Service, the local school system and the USDA. There was a focus on farm to school education with information on beekeeping, composting, planting, etc. There were also lots of things for the kids-a scavenger hunt around the site (this is where John and Abigail lived when they weren't doing presidential stuff). JQA and his lady lived there as well. These are separate from their birthplaces which are in a different part of Quincy (they moved on up!). Eleanor had her picture taken with Abigail-who is looking pretty good for being dead all these years (Queen Dick, Hibernating Bear).
Slept in, had breakfast, showers, cleaned up, went shopping, went to brunch, errands, run, cleaned the laundry room, showered again and am now waiting for my pizzas to cook. On to eating and drinking wine.

Woke up early to take Carter to his kids marathon. It was the kids of steel run in downtown Pittsburgh. I ran it with him and he had so much fun!!! Can't wait to do it next year with him.
Then we took him to lunch and won't grocery shopping. Now we are relaxing and watching it rain.

Slept in, lounged, cleaned, napped, updated my yoga invoice, dicked around online, made protein balls for the week, made dinner, now lounging again Been a pretty great day of nothing lol
Starbucks, then we went to pick up David's BFF for an all day playdate. We went for Mexican, then to the bookstore and I let them pick out a book. I bought a shitton of those "Who Was" books for David. Those are sooooo cool. Then I came home and let the kids play on their ipads. Then H took the friend home while I cracked open a bottle of wine (yessssss!). We worked on David's memorizing homework and spelling words for next week. Let me tell you, the work of one week at David's new school is literally less than ONE DAY of homework from his old school. Crazy!

T left earlier today for her first sleepover. It's at our in home daycare provider's house. Her daughter and T are best friends. She called me 5 minutes after they got home from picking T up to let me know she had just thrown up.
Slept in, played with the dogs outside, worked in the garden, talked to my mom and sister, did the treadmill, showered, read for a while (Jimmy Carter's A Full Life, it's so good), and now we're about to go out for Indian. After dinner we're going to watch Star Wars or Hateful Eight.

I planned to sleep in, but apparently I am broken. Sigh. I got up before 8. So I went outside and pruned and weeded. And weeded and pruned. OMG. I should have done some thinning of the stuff that is spreading, my mom wants some things for her yard. Funny thing is that it all came from the yard at her old house. Ends meat, eh? Next up is vacuuming up approximately a pug's worth (by volume) of tumbleweeds. Blech.

I lovelovelovelovelove watching the daffodils bloom at the Adams mansion. Did you notice the doorbell pulls out, like in the tv/movie Addams Family house? The tv show copied the historical house. That might be my favorite spot in that city. (Did you name it? I won't in case you didn't.)
Oh and for what I did today I got a bunch of additives for the soil at Home Depot and tipped a kid $10 to put it in the car because it's all I had and I didn't even care because that shit was heavy. Then my son took it all out when I got home and he didn't get a dime. Boo hoo. I also planted some strawberries, broccoli and brussel sprouts.

I got up at 6:30 for our yard sale. We did that until about 11:30. Made about $250. Did some reading/studying. Showered. Went grocery shopping. Back to reading/studying.

Went to a great zoo and spent a ton of money but it was worth it.
Accidentally doubled up on a recently increased dosage of medication so I blasted myself with 100mg (up from 25 two days before, was told to take 2 25s until the bottle was gone) got new bottle of 50s today and popped two without thinking. Shakes and headaches ensued so I've been hiding under the covers for 2 hours intermittently checking on an app that feeds & entertains digital cats. So, I'm a double loser!
