How expensive is it? I'm a new convert to vinylux (only 1 chip on my wonky nail after painting Thursday, and I've scrubbed dishes, cleaned grout, washed my hair...) but it's not cheap.
I'm not sure about the price because my DD received it in a goody bag. I'm going to Walmart later though so I'll check. It has to be cheaper than the Essie ones I usually get though.

It's less than $6 usually.
Nice! The vinylux were $10.50 at ulta, but they're $6-7 on amazon, though I wonder if I'll be happy picking colors from a screen.... I'll have to check this out!
How legit is it, would you say? Perhaps TOO legit?
Well it doesn't seem to have quit, so I think it might be!
I need to try this vinylux that people are talking about. Where do you get it?? I tried the sally Hansen gel and it lasts a couple days but I've been spoiled by gel manicures I can no longer afford. I miss my nail girl.
Sally Hansen is my favorite. I have super weak nails and SH lasts for days on them without chipping. And I always get compliment on the colors. I'm rocking Bordeaux Glow right now.

I love those polishes. I have a bunch of fun crazy colors that I use for school spirit days. One of my schools colors were Green and Gold, I wasn't paying a ton of money for polish I'd wear for 1 day! I wound up leaving it on for almost a week, and it never chipped.

Sally Hansen has a gel nail polish line.
I know, I have a couple bottles. It's good for me for a couple days of I don't do any rigorous cleaning but I'd like to find something that can last through a few loads of dishes and at least a week. Haha

What do you think of the gel? I've been looking at it for awhile but the reviews online aren't that great.

The gel is no good. I borrowed one from a friend with the special top coat. I hated it

It lasts longer for me than regular polish which usually chips the same day. This one sticks around for a couple of days usually.

Ulta or amazon. It is apparently comparable to the SH simply gel line, but some people get better wear out of vinylux. It's made by the same ppl that make shellac, which is why I figured I'd give it a try. Seriously, the hell I've put my hands through sknce Thursday would fucking DEMOLISH any other polish, and I have one chip on a nail that has a weird bend and always gets caught on shit and then a tiiny bit of wear on the corners. I was scrubbing the corners of the shower with a scrubby sponge!

Thank you! I need to go to ulta anyway so I'm glad I know to look for it there!

Surely! It's in the "salon polishes" section with the higher-end stuff; I couldn't find it right away since that isn't usually my area, lol. And the top coat is in a black box. I kept looking past it.
I have yet to try a nail polish that can hold up to hair washing. I want to try this one, though!
I get insane wear time from the Sally Hansen miracle gel. With ordinary polish (even with seche vite on top), it stars wearing from the tips after a day or so, and chips soon after, but the miracle gel was almost perfect after like a week.
And I think you can use the miracle gel top coat with other polishes to extend their life a little, too, though I haven't tried that yet.
The miracle gel stuff is legit. I get 1.5-2 weeks out of it
