I teared up three times: 1. You lost 26.2 pounds by race day 2. "Everyone on the board just saw that." Yeah we did 3. Of course the finish.
I am just proud of you and I can't think of any other way to say it. You did such an amazing thing this weekend and the last several months. More tears.

Thank you so much for sharing!! Your story really resonated with me and the shift I've made in my own lifestyle this year. I trained like an athlete and had the goals of an athlete but was pretending to fuel myself like an athlete. I had to reach out for help and my coach now says the same thing you said to yourself. "YOU ARE AN ATHLETE so take care of yourself like one!"
You did that on your own accord and your body rewarded you accordingly. That is one hell of a PR. And you earned every sweet minute of it and more! Congrats!
Umm, so this "dietician" could better be described as "moron", yes? You're one of the most badass athletes I "know"! Jeesh, if I trained like you I'd be dead!
I'm so incredibly impressed with your kickass race. Way to kill it!! Congratulations on your shiny new PR!!! Wanna break 4 with me at MCM?
Omg, that was an amazing recap! Thank you so much for sharing! I am so happy for you. You worked hard and it paid off. You earned it. Congrats again!!!

Congratulations!!! You are such an amazing person and athlete!!! I knew this was a big PR but that's huge and amazing and inspirational. Can you be my personal trainer and dietician? But seriously you are amazing and I'm probably going to use your training schedule you sent me for MCM.

I was actually wondering what plan you did! Was it Pfitz?

Thank you dear I loved waking up to your message on Sunday! But you may want to rethink your wish for me being your coach. Your future fall marathon training buddy took one look at that program and swore at me. Lol.
Well we will be good training buddies because I'm pretty sure I swore at it as well when I first looked at it and promptly shoved it away. katyintx yes it was some Pfitz plan she doctored. It looks scary but I think its going to be what I need to break 4 hours. That and a diet overhaul.

What an amazing recap!! You are such a strong athlete!! I want your mental toughness. Dying over the bag of dicks...I've thought the same thing many times...NYC has a big hill at mile 24/25, and the last mile in the park is rolling, and the finish line is on top of a hill. Not cool. Twin Cities had a ginormous hill at 23, too. So bogus. Chicago is flat as a pancake until the last 0.2mi, bahaha. Hope this PR gives you the optimism you deserve to train for your next marathon. Way to go.
When I see that you've written a race report, I immediately want to curl up with a blanket and a cup of coffee as if I'm curling up with my favorite book.
Seriously, I'm super impressed. That is such an incredible pr. I've been less active on the board this year, and so while I knew you were looking at some awesome and big things ahead, I missed a lot of the impressive work you were putting in, and I wish I had have been more attentive because it is really impressive and inspiring. Congratulations!
You are seriously such an inspiration. A total rockstar. I traded up multiple times reading this.
Well done. So happy for you that you ran so well, and that you were able to overcome such adversity in your training.
Thank you so much
And we need to play. Soon. Before my weekends are forever gone and sacrificed to the half ironman training volcano.
yes, please!! And before it gets disgustingly hot and humid for the next 3 months. I feel like the weather today was an unfortunate preview of what's to come.

It's a fantastic lightning storm here but that means the windows are closed. And our a/c is busted so it makes it that much more fun :/
It took 10 minutes from the time that the rain started to the time that streets started flooding on my drive home from work this evening. I saw multiple fire trucks responding to calls for what I'm assuming was either lightning strikes or flooding. Ridiculous.

You are an amazing athlete and that is one hell of a PR. You had me tearing up from the first paragraph and wanting the ring the neck of that so called "dietician." Thank you for sharing your journey and being sub an inspiration for all of us here. You earned every minute of that PR. I hope you wrote that new time on your wall in a fit of glee.
