I can't even form the words. Good to know that ALL of my value is squarely on my looks and how much of my body I expose.
And, among all this talk of teaching young ladies their values, where is the talk about teaching young men how to value and respect women? Hmmm? This kind of shit drives me insane.

Don't worry, guys. I'm sure this responsible father had a similar conversation with his son in which he urged him to consider women people who are valued for their intellect and kindness, and not property to be devalued or condescended to.
And this sort of thinking is exactly why rape culture exists - because some women's bodies are to be respected and valued and others are not. None of this is okay. *throws things*
Dude, you cover and protect an iPad because accidents happen. So is he saying that if you don't cover your body you might accidentally get raped? Because that's not how this works.
That's funny...but it also makes me think of how many times we are used to it in society without even realizing it. Why do girls get given away for weddings, as if they are owned and are being sold or traded. The man just gets to stand up there and receive his possession. Ugh, I may be reaching but this grinds my gears.
I honestly thought this was going to be about condom use...
Also, the analogy is off. Putting a protective cover on electronics would be like wearing a condom during sex, a seat belt in the car, a helmet while riding a bike, etc.

Exactly. Because right now this just says "To protect your body from assault or rape, make sure to cover it!"

And ADDITIONALLY says that if you DO get assaulted or raped, your value goes down. Sorry.
