No input on the chicken pox, but you should be able to contact the insurance company and get the info needed to process a claim. I have no idea if that's somwthing the doctor office can look up.

When I was kid and had chicken pox, they were not pimple like. They were like a mole or boil that was red. Larger than pimple size. And they itched immediately. I also had a high fever and nausea. (It was 4th Grade, so I remember it pretty clearly.)
It's hard to imagine it's a virus without a fever accompanying it. That seems odd. Could it be a contact rash from detergent or fragrance or a food allergy rash?

You can call the insurance company to get the information. DS needed to go to the doctor's when we were switching and cards hadn't come yet so my HR person was able to obtain the member/group number needed for billing. You can have a bacterial infection with no fever - DS was diagnosed with strep/scarlet fever two years ago and his only symptom was the rash that appeared on his chest and back. Because of other medical issues he needed to be seen and the doctor said it was most likely a viral rash because his throat was not red, no fever or complaint of a sore throat, but decided to do a strep test to be overly cautious. We were both shocked when it came back positive for strep.
Chicken pox would be more on his trunk before "Blooming" elsewhere.
Generally, they look more like blistery filled bumps and a day of so out, he'd have a few at different states of blistery/pustule and crusty.
The other thing is that, often, kids don't feel all that sick by the time the blisters erupt. My parents ditched me with my nieces for Easter after their mom died. Kiddo #2 came down with chicken pox in 6th grade (post puberty- which is a bigger deal). She felt sick the day before she broke out and I picked her up from school early. But she wasn't too bad once the spots appeared a day or so later.
Naturally, DS caught them from her (this was pre-vaccine/20 years ago). He was warm the day before breaking out, but otherwise not ill or uncomfortable acting. Does anyone in school have them?

Call the doctor's office and ask what to do. Often they would rather treat someone and have them stay at home since chicken pox is so contagious and they don't want a child with it coming to an office where there could be unvaccinated newborns.
My daughter had chicken pox even though she had the vaccine. There were very few bumps (like, 5), all on her torso. She was otherwise fine and I did not believe it was actually CP until she had the blood test to confirm the antibodies. You'll be fine to go in w/o cards, they can resubmit once you have the info (or even have them call the 800 number and get it that way)
Sounds like HFM. My twins hand it a month ago. It looks like pimples. It is a bitch : ( Took about a week for it to clear up and it super contagious. My doctor didn't even want.me to bring them is as it is a virus and will just run its course.

Sorry : (
Well I'm convinced it's HFM, because ds1 woke up with spots on his face and I developed a sore throat overnight.
thankfully it seems mild, no ulcers on hands or feet, just some pimples on the face.
Sorry : ( It's is definitely going around everywhere!
