In theory that's a good idea but you know that homeowner is going to regret that setup. The dog is going to shake dirty water over that window and it's going to be a filthy mess.
We plan to add a dog wash in 2 years when we update our kitchen/laundry. But we're planning to put the dog wash into an existing walking closet next to the laundry sink so the whole thing is hidden.

I'd rather wipe down the walls/window than get stuff all over things stored in the closet! Or would you use the closet *only* as a dog shower?

We have 2 walk-in closets in our Laundry room. One is currently only used for dog gear, food, etc. That's the one that will be turned into a dog wash. It's big enough that I can still keep a trash can full of dog food in there even with the dog wash. It's fine by me if the outside of the trash can isn't spotless.
I haven't bathed my dogs in a long time. I feed a high quality grain free food and I feel like mine don't have that normal dog smell. They also don't get muddy and are short haired dogs and only one has an undercoat. I feel this is a waste of space? How often do people bathe their dogs?

Idk whenever he starts smelling. Once a month? I would love it.
My dogs get bathed maybe once a year. Am I disgusting ? Maybe my dogs should re home themselves.

Our dog only gets a bath at the groomers, twice a year or so. You're not supposed to bathe her breed more frequently than that because it's not good for her coat/skin. I think it's pretty breed dependent.
I asked h to build one about a year ago, except like a walk in dog shower. He made 1 billion excuses, so no dog shower. We have the room in our laundry room! He's a weeny.

We only bathe him when he's rolling in fox poo or when he's ungodly dirty. I'd say 4-5 times a year. If he didn't get muddy/fox poo, then we'd never wash him - just a good brush.
We are building a dog shower outside - installing hot and cold water so we can give him a good once over when he gets muddy. He rarely needs a full bath but it'd be nice to wash his paws off more often. And not bringing fox poo into our bathrooms (as we currently have to haul his big butt into our bathtub).
