I seem to find a variety of info even though the official instructions say walking only with the infant car seat adapter. Obviously I want to be safe with baby's head/neck development. I'd like to try to start back running early mornings. Baby is usually fussy or wants attention at that point, but he loves to move (and ride in the car) so maybe he'd be happy in the Bob.
These would be short, slowish runs. Or I can start with strictly walking if I need to.
2-3 months, he had good head control at that point. Paved trails only. I think I stopped around 6 months because he was close to the weight limit for the adapter.
I did. I made sure to only run on smooth paved trails. It was no bumpier than a car ride, so I was comfortable with it. I think 2 or 3 months? She was born in January, so not much in the beginning.

Between 4-8 weeks with each of them.
I think you'll get a wide range of answers on this. My anecdotal evidence says a-ok, go for it! My kids seem to be turning out quite awesome
My pediatrician was also fine with the idea us of running on smooth, paved roads using the infant adapter. I could see it being an issue running on gravel or uneven terrain, or zipping down hills. Otherwise the BOB is a smooth, stable ride IME.
Whether running or walking, it sounds like a nice way for both of you to start the day. That's great you feel up to starting back again!
This is helpful! It seemed to me like many of you did run with infants, but then I was second guessing it. I will have to drive a few miles to get to a paved trail vs. gravel or highway. So I may start with walking for now because it sounds easier than loading up a stroller.
runblondie26 -- I don't know that I feel up to anything very fast yet, but with the weather so nice it sounds like more fun than sitting awake in the wee hours with a crying baby.
We have a great paved path right by my house, so I started at ~2 months. Always walked slowly over any curbs or anything other than super smooth pavement.
I started at 5 months, but we have a ton of cobblestone in our village, so I wanted to make sure he had good neck control. I probably could have started sooner, but the weather was crappy still.
Yep, I did with both. For DD, I waited until she was close to 3 months but she was born in Oct. For DS, we were running at 4ish weeks (born in March). both my kids were born with small heads and always had very good head control. Like pp said, paved roads, went slow, etc. Good luck!
As soon as I got the ok from the doctor that I could start exercising again, DS and I were out running. Probably about 7 weeks? I think I got the clear at 6 and actually started a few days early because I felt fine and I was antsy. I ran on smooth sidewalks. He was an early riser so we'd go run in the mornings after I fed him so that DH could catch up on some sleep. And then DS would usually fall asleep about halfway through the run.
I have not yet. Aside from my ankle issues, I was not comfortable with the idea of running with the infant seat + adapter because of top heaviness. I decided to wait until she was old enough to just ride directly in the the BOB. She would be fine to do it now (5.5 mos) and probably has been for a while, I just haven't had a chance with everything going on in my life. I've had better luck fitting trainer workouts in, in the basement with the baby monitor. Hobbes also seems to prefer a carrier to a stroller for the most part, so I have more success going for walks with her in the Lillebaby than a stroller.
I don't know if I might have been more inclined to push it if I'd had a baby in early spring. With her being born in November, there wasn't a lot of incentive to try her in the BOB young because the weather sucked.
I didn't run with her until she was big enough to sit in the stroller itself. we only walked while she was in the infant adapter and I didn't use the stroller much at all because it was easier to wear her if we were walking somewhere.

6 weeks, or as soon as I was cleared to start working out. My speed wasn't so great that the car seat made it worrisome and I stuck to smooth stuff (even smooth dirt.)
