I definitely don't want something that feels harder to clip in and out of!
I had mountain pedals like those on my road bike at first, and upgraded to the 105 road pedals because I wanted a larger platform. I was getting numbness and pain on long rides with the MTB pedals. I find my 105s a lot more comfortable, but it required getting new shoes, cleats (3 stud instead of 2 stud), and pedals.
If you don't have any complaints with your current pedals, you could always move them from your Allez to your Lexa and wait until your shoes need replacing before changing pedals.
