Ugh. People at work/transgendered bathroom issue

I walked into work this morning and the two ladies that sit next to me are deep in a conversation (fairly loudly - talking across the aisle to each other) about whether or not transgender people should be able to use the bathroom of their choice. They are both very "live your truth but not in MY bathroom" about it.

And now it's spinning into gay marriage and how "could I marry a goat then? A tree?"

I don't share their views. But mostly I just want them to shut up about it at work. There's no way to ask them to stop without it being awkward, right?

Guess I'm gonna make it awkward.

(It might be awkward but it should only be for them.)

They just clammed up because their supervisor walked in. I am still debating whether or not to say something.

Sorry, I have been in a meeting. I just spoke with their Supervisor and she is going to address it with them. To be honest I feel like a coward for not saying something directly to them.
