Best way to learn Excel 2016?

So I found a place close to me that offers three 8 hr classes costing $295 a day. This seems like a bit much, but I have no idea.

There are online courses that start as low as $14, but you basically teach yourself, and some reviews were saying the courses were too fast paced and lacking important details.

I think my local library offers free classes, but I'm pretty sure it's for an intro to the 2007 version only.

I am clueless and don't want to get scammed. I'm a beginner right now, and would like to reach expert level.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Our library offers college courses that have a set schedule and homework if you need something more structured. completely free through them.

And before you pay for Lynda, check to see if your library offers it for free. Mine does.

Also, an Excel for Dummies book would be a good introduction to things.
