Oh and I made cold brew coffee last night. Amazing!
My good friend's BIL makes/sells this and it's delicious. We put it in all kinds of yummy alcoholic drinks too. He's apparently doing really well. Obviously I know you can make your own, but I'm lazy.

More of a vent, but my Birth month board on the bump is the absolute worst board ever. They don't want "random" posts and prefer the board to be "uncluttered" so they have weekly posts, like Randoms, Pregnancy Symptoms, and Things My Significant Other Said--- and they expect every post yo fit in one of the threads.
I actually feel sorry for newbies that come and post real questions, like how to tell MIL I don't want her in the delivery room, because they get snarky ass responses directing the to a 26 page long random thread. Appraently if anyone wants to answer your question, they will tag you.
We're visiting Philly for the weekend. I'm waiting on H to get up so we can get donuts from the Reading Terminal Market. We're doing a Philly cheesesteak tour for lunch and my birthday dinner at Sbraga tonight. The sun is shining, so I think today is going to be awesome!
The Franklin Flea Market is outside of RTM today!
I woke up with a migraine around 6, took some meds, and went back to sleep until 10. I'm giving myself the day to do nothing because we have plans tomorrow.

You're doing a message board wrong. ALL WRONG.
I've actually noticed this on quite a few message boards. I think we may be the odd ones out. But that's ok, it's better our way.

I hope you feel better! Thanks for the heads up on the flea market. Off to check it out while H lazily gets ready.
BBQ today. DH is making breakfast and then I plan to head out for a few miles with the dog. I need to get my exercise in now as the host of the BBQ is going whine about the fact that her kid didn't get a trophy in baseball this year and that will turn into a diatribe of everything that has gone wrong in her life. I will be consuming mass quantities of vodka, shaking my head in commiseration while making "rescue me" eyes at DH. Then I plan to come home and lay on the couch for hours. Hooray 3 day weekend!

Thanks! If I were at all motivated I would check it out myself, but I'm like "this couch is so comfortable." One of my favorite stores has a table - Philadelphia Independents. Check them out!
Elizabeth's pronunciation is atrocious. I know it's normal for her age, but it makes me wonder if she has been saying more than I think. She's playing with some animal and shape magnets right now and naming them as she goes, and for some of it I would have no clue what she was saying if it wasn't paired with a magnet. Joanna's pronunciation at this age was much clearer. My niece's is too.
Second child syndrome, I promise. J talks for her a lot, so E doesn't need to speak as clearly. My sister and I were the same. No one could ever understand me.
Eta: except for my sister who would translate to my parents.
I had some appliances delivered this morning. I was planning on tipping the guys $10 each anyway, so I had $20 in my pocket. When he handed me the paperwork to sign there was a $20 bill attached to the clipboard. Subtle hint, guys. I almost missed it! LOL. (I only had them delivered to the garage, and they didn't even have to take them out of the boxes, so I'm sure $10 each was plenty. They're way ahead of schedule, too, since the orders actually had them installing the new and removing the old.)
Wait, like they were showing off a previous tip? Klassy.
I don't know why else it would be there? He put my tip in his pocket.
It's 90 degrees here and I'm 8 months pregnant so my ass is firmly planted in the biggest chair and my kid is getting unlimited Netflix and snacks. Screw the outdoors. They'll still be there tomorrow.
Are you getting married today and inviting W.T.Faulkner but not the rest of us?
Not usually. He was giving me an update that his barber was closed so he's going to HD to get stuff to weed the front garden. Then he called to tell me HD was giving away hot dogs (I don't eat hot dogs). so well meaning, and I am grateful that he is taking care of the outside stuff, but unnecessary.

I don't think so.. it hasn't been the case on any board I've been on. Maybe it's a new thing.
I've noticed on boards that are for specific things. Like Flyertalk, or an allergy site. But i guess those are more for stragglers and not everyday posters like here. But DH is a part of a message board with regulars and they have ONE thread of everyday talk. It's like hundreds of pages long. Men.

Wasn't planning on it but anyone who is bringing cake is welcome at my house. I'm sure my husband would agree. I'll leave the door unlocked, just come upstairs guests.

I let Lucy pick out a new bathing suit at justice since all the swim stuff is 50% off. So naturally she picked this horrible American flag monstrosity. Good lord. But she's happy

Everyone's doing all this fun shit today and I'm all "groceries are purchased and I'm doing laundry?". But I didn't have much planned for this weekend.
tillie, you deserve more than one day. You deserve better than this.

So.
Yesterday, I was awarded staff of the month. Awesome.
THEN a student who thought he was going to have to take classes over the summer and graduate in August finished all of his credit retrieval courses that my AP and I signed him up for three days ago. So he caught up and will be walking on June 8.
My AP was talking to him about this whole experience and he was so overwhelmed with joy. He looked up at us and said "My mom is going to be so proud. I'm just so happy I could make her proud. I'm the first in my family to graduate from high school." And he broke down sobbing. AND THEN I started crying. Lol. He gave us like a million hugs and thanked us probably 100 times. I love my job. It was a great start to my weekend.

They have like 6 active posts for an entire week. But their ridiculousness has no bounds because they were also lamenting that they can't "close" the board to new posters. Because we are so far along in our pregnancy and new posters haven't been around to contribute this whole time, they shouldn't be allowed to come in now. Wtf?

They could always create a private board. Those always end well.
I need to start peeling apples for applesauce, but instead I'm sitting on my, ass holding a cat because that's better. The applesauce is going to suck anyway since its not apple season and I'm skeptical the ones I picked will have a good flavor mix.

I went for an amazing run then took my dog to the vet. $400 later and he is healthy and perfect.
Having a beer now then will clean up. I also want to take a walk to the waterfront. My best friend should be coming over at 6:30 and she's sleeping over!
About 2 weeks ago a bee swarm set up in our curbside tree for a day and then went away the next day.
Last night H noticed a smaller swarm set up in the same spot. Except they're still here AND he noticed several bees hovering around the edge of our front balcony, possibly scouting out a new hive location. Fuuuuck.
And yes we already found a bee relocation service rather than an exterminator. But hopefully these bees will move on later today. :/
The rain has begun. Soccer game tonight, hopefully it's not too miserable. If it is, I shall console myself with a corn dog. But this weekend is still awesome because a) it's a 4 day weekend for me and b) BF doesn't have to leave at the end of it!! He just lives here now. So crazy!
He officially starts his new gig July 11. He'll go out to Plano for two weeks to get set up. I'll be going out the weekend in between to meet people, see the area, and start looking at neighborhoods. Oh and have a bunch of hotel sex

My H made burgers from ribeye steaks (amazing), and so we made bacon cheeseburgers on the grill. We've also hung outside for the first time in ages and had great beers - so far: coffee IPA, salted caramel porter and a bit of a chocolate & vanilla stout. I'm a full and tipsy UKYankee.
