We bought tickets to a Royals game for our anniversary a couple of months ago and they are nice seats in the fancy food section but even though we did a trip for our 10th anniversary last fall I wanted to make our actual anniversary more special. My sister is going to babysit overnight and my dad had hotel points so he gifted us a room at a hotel down on the Plaza Looking forward to having a night away, will count as our "babymoon" as well.

swizz, FYI DD was like that too during the 3 day method. By day three she had a mild fever and I was concerned she had given herself a kidney infection from holding it in. On a normal day though she does not go very much.
I just had a phone screening with HR for a WFH opportunity. They asked for salary range and I gave them what I was making six years ago and she seemed totally fine with that. I will die if I can take that sort of break and walk back in without missing a beat.
I think my sister is going to stay with us for a week to help with the boys AND I don't have to cook dinner tonight because there are leftovers from last night!
We had AJ's first gymnastics class tonight. Approximately 25% of his time was spent doing what the class was doing, and the other 75% was spent doing whatever the fuck he wanted or trying to at least. The pop machine and Lego figurines made by a different class were popular requests. It basically went how I expected but J got a lot more frustrated (because he's never around for this stuff) which didn't help.
P is suddenly hating baths. HATING them. She screamed the whole time. I have no idea what changed besides the week of travel? Maybe she's mad it's not a pool.
DS had his first full day in the 2 yo room and it went so well. We followed the advice of our fellow daycare mom friend and made sure DS was one of the first to arrive. Sure enough, he wasn't as intimidated when the room slowly filled up with the rest of his classmates. He even threw a tantrum when H tried to take him home at the end of the day.
Random: I'm really loving having two really independent kids right now. With Toddler V almost out of diapers, the age gap is really working in our favor. We got to sleep in so much this weekend, because the girls can fend for themselves in so many ways. This summer is going to be fun!
These kinds of posts make me really excited for a large age gap. I figure DD can handle the baby for us, lol.

I wish you could search emoji's by name. There are too many now, that I spend too much time looking for the one I want (brought to you by the 90 seconds it took me to find the lightning bolt I wanted to send to DH)

We are home from our trip to South Carolina! I am not cut out for living in the south. So humid and buggy. It was not a smooth weekend by any means, but my cousin is married. So yay for her and seeing family. But it's great to be home.
I got a nice reply from the Chief Medical Officer of the hospital to my complaint about the OB from DD2's delivery. He set up a meeting with me on Thursday to discuss and start the "thorough" review they are going to conduct. Fingers crossed I make it through the meeting without crying.
I had another road incident today that left me pretty shook up. Yet another young asshole driver decided to "teach" me a lesson for not going fast enough for his liking. I was not in the left lane but he sure as heck wasn't going to pick a fight with the truck/rolling gun rack using the left lane as the cruising lane.

Our internet is out, which is annoying. It's probably due to the weather from Tropical Storm Colin although it hasn't been that bad around here. Really hope it all clears out by tomorrow morning and the roads don't flood too much since we have to drive across a bridge to get to the hospital for DDs surgery.
I think my husband almost blew a gasket. He never should have offered to play Clue with a giggly almost-8 year old, a drunk wife, and a slap happy mother. YOUR FAULT, MAN.
I posted this on FB but I want to share here, too.
We had our Community yard sale yesterday. We sold a guy some really nice ($$$$) blinds for $40. Today he comes back and asked for his money back because the blinds don't fit his windows. He claims because of "good will" we should do it. I can't stop laughing.
I'm at the tipping point of sleep deprivation. I skipped my gym class tonight because I was still putting the baby down and didn't want to mess with the routine in case it made the non existent sleep worse. So instead I'm eating ice cream
I got some gossip from the job I interviewed for last week. My friend there said that they think I'm over qualified and won't stick around and they spend a ton in training and I won't like the job. So that sucks.

We aren't potty training DD yet, but we take her to the bathroom when she asks. She pretty much only does it when H isn't home, so he hasn't had much practice with helping her go. Tonight, she asked H to go potty. H kept calling me from the bathroom, asking for help from me. I don't think he appreciated me simply singing Daniel Tiger jingles back to him in response. "Keep trying, you'll get better!" "Try to solve the problem yourself, and you'll feel pro-oo-oud!"
He may not have been amused, but I found it hysterical.
