This is Kitty. Yes, Kitty. I was inventive, okay? She is about 14-15 years old, I have had her for 13 years this October, when she wandered up to my house and weasled her way into my mom's heart. My mom HATED cats, but loved her because she was black and white like her favorite animal: cows.
She is kind of evil (see the picture? That's the stink eye for locking her in the bathroom all day and for getting new carpet) but I love her anyways.
Pics are in my siggy, but they are from Left to Right:
Fargo (black lab): 1.5 years old and a total "turkey" as my husband says. He had lots of health problems young so he gets scared of new people but once he warms up, he's just a big lover.
Brodie (golden retriever/jackrabbit mix): 1.5 years old. Adopted at a year. He'll love you as soon as he meets you!
Boo (el gato): 5 years old. He belonged to my husband before. More dog than cat. More lap heater than dog.
Maggie (chihuahua): 3 years old. 4.6 ounces of sweetness. She loves anyone who will give her the time of day and fetch is her favorite thing in the world. She was born without very limited use of her back legs and through work my mother and I have put in, she gets around faster than just about any of her brothers.
I love cats but DH is highly allergic and since we have a condo and not much of a yard we hate to get a dog while we are still here.
Maybe someday!
I want a dog, but I won't get one and have it be outside only. And I don't want a small dog, I want a good sized dog (what's the point of a dog if it's not for protection and oversized lap dog snuggles??), so we have to wait until we have a bigger house. And my cat kicks the bucket. I'm terrified of that day, honestly, she's the last piece of my mom I get to see every day. But she's getting up there and I just hope she holds out until after my hormones are done being all out of whack.
I, instead, have dog nieces & nephews. A Boston Terrier (Lacey) and a mutt (Max) with one sister and my brother had a Mastiff (Cash) that they just lost as well as a Bassett (Charlie) and now they have a Pit puppy (Clutch).
This is Arabella. She's a 15-year-old Golden Retriever/Blue Heeler mix. She has epilepsy and had a stroke in December 2010 and has been blind since then. She's still kicking though and is pretty much the coolest dog ever.
This is Cookie. She's an 11-year-old terrier mix. She love squeaky balls and belly rubs and is terrified of storms.
This is Sicily. She's a 3-year-old Cocker Spaniel. She loves squirrel-hunting.
And these are my cats. The tri-color calico is Cosmo (she's 6) and the grey tortie is Leila (she's 8). Leila is a snuggle bug and Cosmo is the very vocal princess who loves to eat potato chips.
We only have one pet, our rescue Sophie, but I'm make up for it by posting more than one pic. We think she is a boxer, beagle, and pittie mix. She was abused and breed for her entire life before us then left tied to a humane society door one night. This is her 4th year with us and we think she's around 8 but you would never guess it if you met her.
This is my guy, Sam. A rottie mix who's 8+ years old. He was a hurricane rescue.
Yes, I realize he has messed up teeth. They've been that way since he was adopted from the shelter. Vet thinks he was chewing on rocks or metal. Sad. In any case, he's a happy dog now! And he gets regular dental cleanings to ensure his teeth don't get any worse.
This is Hef, our big boy. He's from a shelter, so we're not sure of his breed or exact age, but he's been with us for 4 years. We also call him Houdini because he loves trying to escape from his pen. And he loves frozen grapes.
This is Holly. She is a big girl and really prissy, and reminds me of that Hippo Ballerina from Fantasia. She refuses to walk on the tile floor if it doesn't have a blanket or towel on it for her. She hates being touched by anyone other than Hef, and she loves cilantro. We've had her for almost four years, and she's from the same shelter as Hef.
This is our baby, Jude. She is a rescue, and is the only bunny I've ever had that actually likes to be picked up and cuddled. She licks us when we pet her, and is always so happy to be around Hef and Holly, and Huz and me. She loves banana, and we've had her for 2 years.
There is SO much cute in this thread. Mine: 5is year old rescue boxer Teddy. Theodore Roosevelt WawaLastname to be precise. I think there is a resemblance.
until he opens his mouth anyway:
And cats, both 7 year old lady rescue kitties. Commonly referred to as Black Cat and Fat Cat, but their real names are Cindy Smith and Callie Wesson. I don't have nearly as many pictures of the girls, because they don't tend to dance over the second I grab the camera. fatty peeking through the wall-less stairwell:
black cat freaking out the day we brought teddy home.

She looks just like the bunny I had when I was a kid. What a cutie!

I'm kind of a Crazy Bunny Lady lol!
I'm so impressed you have a bonded trio!! It was kinda hell to bond Lady and Sam hah. Are they house bunnies too?

Thanks, it's seriously one of my proudest accomplishments lol. It was really hard because it was just Hef and Holly for so long, and Jude was desperate to be friends, and Holly was just like "screw you" and always bit her. It took us about 6 months of daily bonding time before they tolerated each other, and now they're best friends.
They're house bunnies who love happy bunny dancing in the yard when I'm back there with them. It's hard to get them back in the house after they've had time outside!
