pooh8402 - The meditation app thing is so odd to me. The NP I see at our worksite clinic (aka my GP) suggested that to me as well. I'm sure it's great but it seems so counterintuitive to me. I dunno, like I shouldn't be using my phone to relax my mind like that. I should be disconnecting.
pooh8402 I could see how ADHD and anxiety could be similar. I deal a lot with anxiety and sometimes I feel extremely distracted and my mind just doesn't slow down. Honestly the only thing that's helped me with that is medication but I have found that meditation and breathing exercises do help. I also took a mindfulness class a few months ago and one of the exercises there helped me feel relaxed and focused. It's a little impractical if you're in the middle of something but you can do it on a smaller scale. It was basically closing my eyes and making myself aware of everything around me, starting in front of me and working around me without actually seeing anything. It was interesting!
