Carved two giant Eagles into their tree with a huge American flag flying out of it.
So a couple months ago, they had the tree in their front yard cut down so it was the trunk and two branch stumps. It had looked healthy to me but I'm not an arborist so what do I know. Maybe it wasn't.
Last week I noticed a stump carving truck out front. Never knew this was a thing. For the last few days a guy has been out working on it. I came home today and it's done. The two big stumps became two giant Eagles-one with wings outstretched. They are painted too. In the middle of both, a huge American flag is flying out of the tree. Lol I mean the idea of carving something is cool but all I can think of is #merica.
And now we have a ton of people stopping dead in the middle of the road to gawk at it, stopping traffic.

In our old house the neighbor down the street painted the entire side of his garage with a big ass American flag with the head and arm of the Statue of Liberty in front. (Just the head and just the arm, nothing connecting them)
Tree carvings sound marginally classier? At any rate, 'Merica.
I thought the house down the street from me with their numerous giant flags, we support our police, and police lives matter posters were another level.

I am going to try and go outside to surreptitiously take a photo. The owners have been out on their front lawn like proudly sitting there so I didn't want to take it while they're there.
I actually like those knx9211. I mean, not enough to want them in my yard but they'd be awesome in a public garden or something. The eagles on the other hand, sound amaaaaaaazzzzziiiiiinnnng.

"Oh my gosh, this is really something else. May I get a picture?"

OK I did the best I could. The neighbors were no longer outside; I felt weird just standing right in front of their house so I tried a couple side angles from my front yard. (Click to enhance)
Ha! We have an "HOA" but in name only. Dues are optional and go toward gift cards for new babies, new neighbors, etc. We have one meeting per year and get together for National Night Out in August. That's it.
I am super impressed this idea occurred to your neighbor and that they actually followed through. These people could be excellent party guests with the right amount of alcohol. Befriend stat!
