So here's something awkward. The guy I dated right before my H just had a baby (we are still FB friends). Him and his wife and DS are literally down the hall from DD and I. We went our separate ways without any hard feelings or anything but geez of all coincidences.
Note to self: wear makeup for the next couple of days.
So when we built they wired the garage specifically for our outside fridge and stand up freezer. For some reason the gfci has tripped a couple times. No big losses thankfully. The electrician came out and says there's nothing with the wiring. He tells DH to try this one part that may work. DH tried it yesterday and now our freezer is broken.
I am pissed. My parents passed it down to us and it's going to be $400 to replace.
I'm tired. Dd2 hasn't slept more than 3 hours at a time since last Friday. I'm hoping tonight she sleeps. I do not learn. Every day I am optimistic she will sleep and every day she does not.
In other news we went to a new brewery today. It was set on top of a hill with farms and a hop field. It was beautiful. Their beer however sucked. It was a one on a scale from 1-10. That pisses me off even more because DH makes delicious beer but we will never have the money or the balls to open a brewery.
My kid keeps wanting food then rejecting everything. Pouch? Nope. Pb&j? Nope. I just gave her some casserole from a new recipe I tried. Hopefully she eats something because I really need to go to the store and I'm running out of options for her.
I have the whole week's activites planned out through Thursday, and then we go up north for a long weekend! Come next Tuesday, N goes back go school and the living is easy again!

DS fell asleep on me and I'm trapped under him. Been texting mh to come help and he's not coming - ugh I don't want this kid to pee on me in his sleep!
I keep pulling up my calendar to gaze longingly at the "preschool" entry on Tues/Wed/Thurs for the next 9 months. AHHHHHHHHHH some freedom! It has been a long summer (nearly 4 months since they went on break!)

Any chance you want to mix up your activities and go Tuesday instead? timorousbeastie and I are taking the kiddos that day and would love to have you join!
also I think I nested too early but it has seriously helped my anxiety. I'm not up for hours in the middle of the night worrying about stuff anymore. The nursery is done and decorated. All the clothes are washed and folded and put away. Diapers and wipes are in there ready to go. The last few things on my to-do list are to wash/sanitize bottles, clean and set up the last of the baby gear (DH just put the swing together tonight), and get the infant carseat installed. This baby is going to be full term at this rate, isn't she? 34 weeks today. I was on bedrest at 33 weeks last time and had her at almost 36 weeks so I keep expecting a repeat.

I've been going nonstop today. What happened to lazy Sunday? I guess those don't exist when you're a parent
We also finally moved out the PNP from next to my side of the bed. BB hasn't slept in our room for weeks but we were slow to put it away. I'm so happy to climb into bed like a normal human.

Overall a pretty good weekend. Beach day Friday and date night last night.
We adopted a dog 2 weeks ago and all was going fairly well until the last few days. She started getting increasingly startled and growling. I went to grab a hoarded item from her crate the other night and she snapped at me and got my hand (fairly gently and thankfully no broken skin). Some behavior I've just chalked up to being around new people or still adjusting. She growled at our babysitter last night. DS was talking with her and pet her on her head today (very gently and appropriate as I was watching just a few feet away) and she growled at him. Then H tried to get her to go outside and she started freaking out. I put events together and realized that she stepped on one of her back paws weird the other day (Wed or Thurs) when we were coming in from the yard and took a few steps without putting weight on that leg, but then was totally fine. Not that I want something to be wrong, but I am really hoping that she's having pain and that's why she's extra guarded. I emailed the adoption coordinator tonight hoping to get advice and get an appt at their clinic for Tuesday since I work tomorrow. Because if this is truly her personality (which would be surprising as the first week/week and a half, she was fine...adjusting, but fine) we're going to have to take her back because it's not safe.
I missed out on a pair of leggings I really wanted from Farmer's LLR sale so now I'm looking at eBay. Omg they go for crazy on there, but sleeping foxes! I'm dying.

What time are you planning on going?
9:30. If you can make it, we'd love to see you and the kids!
Had a pretty chill day besides our Target run x3 this afternoon. I felt bad for lugging around DD so we stopped at the mall near our last Target so she could play in the play place for a bit.
I'm getting stuff ready for the week, I'm behind on emails and should probably take care of some.. but would rather do it tomorrow. DD starts daycare on Tuesday and I'm trying to prep for that too since I don't want to deal with it tomorrow, and won't be getting home til after dinner from the job I have booked. How is it already the end of August? Man.

Facebook's new method of not giving a description for it's trending news annoys the crap out of me. Sorry, FB, but simply seeing "Gulf of Mexico" is not enough info to get me interested in clicking your link.
