What is going on this weekend?
Today: work until 3ish, picking up kids, visiting my parents at their new house, then babysitting for my nephews
Saturday: swim and gymnastics, then my SIL and niece are coming! We will probably do the pumpkin patch so I can fininsh the fall decor. DH and I are going on a date night!
Sunday: visiting with SIL and niece, football, hanging out
Monday: DH and I are off work, we have a conference for DS in the morning, then a Target trip. I have a wine date after dinner with one of my good friends.
I have a 4 day holiday this weekend because it's Thanksgiving. Today I'm going to take DS to the city to get skates. I need to get birthday gifts for my sister and step mom. Saturday is dinner at the ILS. Sunday I'm cooking. I just found out yesterday and I'm a little panicked and not prepared. Monday is a little R&R.
Today Dh and I are going to a concert and the big girls are having a sleepover at my moms. We have to get the baby after the concert. Tomorrow and Sunday no plans so we will probably take leaves, go to the park and take the girls swimming. I still need to make applesauce and chop the rest of what we picked last week.

Thanksgiving weekend here. DH is out of town until late Sunday night, so at least we'll have Monday together as a family.
Today I dropped DS off at preschool, then went to the mall to shop for clothes for MY NEW JOB!!! That's right folks, after about 3 months of searching and a few interviews, I finally got an offer for a part-time position. It's basically the same thing I was doing before I left work to stay home with DS, and the hours are M-Th 10-3, which is basically perfect for preschool drop-off/pick-up. I start on Tuesday, and I'm stoked.
Tomorrow DS and I will go for groceries, and Sunday no real plans yet. Monday I will make "Thanksgiving Dinner" with a roaster chicken in place of the turkey (but with all the same trimmings) because it'll just be the 3 of us.

DH is in LA today and won't be home until late, and it's grey and rainy and blustery, so the kids and I will make pizza and watch a movie.
DD has ballet tomorrow, but otherwise, no firm plans. I have a lot of quilt sewing to do, and I want to start the kids' costumes. But DH has a lot of work and a racquetball game, so I'm guessing I'll be on primary kid duty.
Yes, TGIF! DS1 is off from school all next week for October break. So today as soon as he gets off from school I'm taking the kids to my parents. They are babysitting DS2 all day Saturday while DH and I take DS1 to Fleet Week in the city and to see the Blue Angels. Sunday I'm getting some time to myself so a massage is booked! And dinner or some sort of get together with my BFF. My mom will do a lot of babysitting DS2 early next week so I can do some one on one stuff with DS1. Thursday morning we head back home to welcome my MIL who is coming for a visit. Again.
@itsbritt we are seeing For King and Country, it's a Christian band we saw a few years ago. They put on a spectacular show! I am pumped. I'm just hoping Dh gets home early enough that we can have more than drive thru chicken nuggets for dinner. gastro the first part of the week sounds great! I'd love a massage and a day to myself. Mil...not so much.

And get this. We went to MILs for xmas last year because I was happy to fly with a 5 month old and said that next year with an 18 month old we will have to skip flying out and will just have xmas at home. So fast forward...don't worry gastro if you aren't coming to me I will just come to you and plus 2 SILs and kids are coming too and since you all have so many miles you can get our tickets!

I hope you said "uh no" or something. Especially rebthe part about you essentially paying for it!
Today the cleaning lady came, thank goodness. Tonight we are just hanging out at home.
Tomorrow I take DS to soccer. My parents are coming to visit and bringing my 97 year old grandma to see the kids, even though I'll be in and out. I'm going to a baby shower luncheon with MIL and SIL, and my parents are babysitting. They'll leave to head home after I get back.
Sunday we are supposed to have a playdate with DS's bus friend and his mom! Remember my post about how to contact her? Well, they are coming over. It's kind of like I have a date. We're trying to keep the house clean all weekend until they come.
AND scratch all that! DD3 just got up from her late nap HORRIBLY CROUPY (DS had croup this week) so looks like we are all headed to urgent care and who knows re: the rest of the plans.
Add on! My mil just asked if ds could spend time with his cousin at her house after swim-um yesss! So brunch date with just h before family photos it is!!! Awesome!!!
She's fine. My kids are super prone to croup. We went to the ER several times with DD1 so I always try to get the steroid at the first sign of it--it helps a ton. DD3 now seems 100% fine except for a slight cold, but I would bet money we'd have been at the ER in the middle of the night if we hadn't gone to urgent care. Good thing the doctor believed me and gave her the meds. Now fingers crossed that two others who haven't shown signs yet don't get it!
PS I bet you all wish you had my awesome Friday night of going to urgent care with 4 kids, then eating car McDonald's on the way home, and now sitting here with a car McDonald's "hangover" and trying to get the kids ready for bed. Whoo-Hoo!
On the plus side, I discovered that we have an awesome new Children's Hospital-affiliated urgent care in a good location.
nicolewi, the sad thing is I am jealous of your McDonalds, car or no. I will eat all the McDonalds, anytime, anywhere. Yes, I'm fairly sure I have a problem.
