he should lose based on his foreign policy answer alone. Plus the name-calling and whining....he was an orange, hulking, scary mess.
Didn't he say something about Russia being "new to the nuclear"? Whatever that phrasing actually means, I'm not entirely sure but I do know that Russia and new and nukes do not go together.
lol. He probably did. I honestly couldn't follow what he was saying.
I don't see how anyone can say he did well. He was rambling. Yes, he mentioned his usual talking points, but they weren't in response to appropriate questions. His foreign policy and healthcare answers were abysmal and/or incoherent. I do not think HRC did as well as she could have, but she ran circles around him and I think I'm being objective about this. He came in behind, fending off his pussy grabs, and he did nothing to even catch up. And that's just substance. Don't even get me started on style.
I don't think he did well.
I do think he had fewer major errors (the type of clips that are easy to replay to drive home the message that he is unhinged) than last time. And I also think that his supporters live in a different reality than I do, which always makes me worry that they will view him in a totally different way.
I had to record it and am just watching it now. Everyone on my Facebook is saying he won. I just see a very angry man on the attack. My Facebook newsfeed depresses me.
Joy Reid just made the connection from Donald Trump's threat of jail to events happening NOW in the Congo, Uganda and Malaysia. It was a thing of beauty.

But the people that haven't decided who they're voting for don't really care about policy. That's why talking about her the whole time works in his favor.
I hope I'm wrong. I do. But I think he'll get a bump from this. Which is disturbing on so many levels.
That was his gamble and he had nothing to lose.
I'm oscillating if it worked or not. On one hand, it got people attention and played to the abundant innate Hillary hate. So...it brought back some voters he may have lost in the last 48 hours.
Be it was also really ugly and very unpresidential so for the true undecided I would think it off-putting. He made no effort to try and be conciliatory.
The jail/special prosecutor thing is breathtakingly stupid and outrageous. Like in the moment I was very wtf but when it's played in a clip on its own he seems like a complete clown.
All of the instant polls say she won. She clearly knows what she's talking about so that helps.
I think because he didn't melt down the GOP is in a tougher spot which I find hilarious. If he had melted down, it'd be easier for more and more of them to try and walk away.

"So I have very clear views about what I want to see to tend to change the balance on the supreme court"
There is something about saying "I want" that stuck out and made me not like her. She continued to come off as negative towards the Senate. I thought that was one of her worst responses because the tone was rather negative and polarizing. She brought up roe v wade which probably didn't go well with my very prolife friends on fb that I have seen like posts against Trump this weekend. Clinton's supporters know she is strongly committed to pro-choice. I just thought she couldn't have answered the question differently.
My husband is a Republican and has slowly grown uninterested in Trump. He talks about voting for Clinton because it will be status quo, but he doesn't like Clinton.

You need new facebook friends.
I have a couple that are speaking up and it's good to see. But yes, a few of them might be getting cut tonight because they are being disgusting. I also might need to move, lol.

There were so many wtf moments in this debate, I forgot about this. How can he win the debate when he threatened to jail his opponent and later called her the devil?
Did he blame Muslims for Islamaphobia because they don't report enough indiscretions???
All of the San Bernardino journalists I follow on twitter were right quick to debunk his claim that everyone knew about the attack but didn't say anything. They all seemed pretty pissed about Trump's handling of this issue.
