I'm an over packer and I procrastinate packing (usually). I've gotten slightly better since having kids since you can't take EVERYTHING so I've learned a little to wean it down, but not much.
Neither, I'm usually pretty happy with the amount I've packed and I tend to travel light. Packing is one of few skills I have
This is me. I can go for 12 days in a carryon, but ideally that would involve finding somewhere to do laundry. Even if it didn't, I could make it work in a carryon. It's all about mix and match outfits where everything coordinates with everything else.
Under. If a trip is a week or less (work trips excluded), I prefer to bring only a backpack - rewear jeans, pick 1 pair of shoes that will work with outfits, wear jacket/sweatshirt to the airport, etc. Like a PP, the only thing I overpack on is underwear.

I used to be an overpacker, but that was back when I was still on the prowl (haha!). Now that I’m married, I don’t care if I repeat parts of or complete outfits. I pack much less now. Plus, I’m pretty methodical in my list making & ensuring that I have enough for each day.
In the "olden" days before checked baggage fees I always way overpacked. My bags were always labeled HEAVY. I generally would bring 10 pairs of shoes and 10 bathing suits for a weeklong trip. I figured as long as the luggage got to the hotel room it didn't matter how much I brought. Of course a backpacking trip through Europe or Peru would warrant a more conservative packing style.
Now that I'm limited I try to be better, but it's hard for me. We went away this weekend and I thought I did pretty good. There was only one bathing suit I didn't wear. There were two outfits for DD2 that weren't worn, but when there's no laundry it's better to bring more for a baby!
Usually I bring slightly more than needed, but when we went on vacation with DS, I wayyyyyy over packed. On our next trip, I vow not to bring more than 1 suitcase between my stuff and DS's stuff, plus a carryon for a diaper bag/toys. My biggest problem is diapers--they take up space and I want to bring them because I don't want to pay $$$ or be searching all over the dang place for the right size.

I used to be an over packer. Recently I've gotten better about packing pretty much just what I need, or sometimes even being an under packer (guess it depends where I'm going, what I'm doing). I think part of it though is that I have a lot less clothes than I used to. Nothing fits me when I'm fat.

I always overpack. Then I look at what I've packed, take out about 25% and when I get home I still find stuff I packed that I didn't need. It's pathological.
I may have had a breakthrough packing for our most recent vacation, to Yellowstone this summer. My two teenage boys and I vowed to pack lightly because I knew we had one day in the middle when we could easily do laundry. So we went away for 11 days and only had our 3 carry-ons (admittedly, we may have packed socks and stuff in our laptop bags). It was exhilarating not to have that extra checked piece of baggage.

I'm an overpacker. I bring like 3 outfits for each day.
For a 3 night trip about a week ago, I brought 6 pairs of shorts, 1 skirt, 3 sets of workout clothes, a pair of jeans, about 10 casual shirts, 3 bathing suits, and 3 shirts for going out at night, plus 10 pairs of underwear, 6 pairs of socks, and 6 bras. I also had 5 pairs of flip flops, sneakers, 2 pairs of flats and a pair of dressy sandals.
I wore the jeans, skirt, 2 pairs of shorts, a tank top, 3 t-shirts during the day, one of the more dressy tops when we went to a club, 2 bathing suits and my cover up.
