Perfection. All of them. I die for the top Rory wore at the spring festival food thing.
YES!
All 3 of the girls clothes were great. Spot on.
I even liked Luke's 3 piece suit for the funeral. I need to check but I think he may have even worn actual dress shoes! The clunky shoes with his suit in Last Week Fights, This Week Tights always bugs me.

I just really wanted actual closure. Now I feel like it's open to continuing with a focus on Rory, and I really don't care about that at all. I'm just really shocked that ASP would plan to end on such a tired trope.

I want it to be the end. I'm mad about it but I don't want to actually see Rory be a mom. I think it's ending as a mirror of the show. Logan is the dad - he's her Christopher and I think the look through the window let's us know that Jess is her Luke.
Overall I enjoyed it. I loved being back in the world.

I don't give two shits about watching anything focused on Rory. Alexis Bledel kind of sucks. And I can't watch any more of her dithering about every aspect of her life.
That said, she seemed unhappy with where her life was at the beginning, trying to do big things but not really being successful and just not being able to settle into something. I feel like where she ended up said a lot about choosing happiness with the small things and that it's okay to not pursue a big, flashy career, which is more like her mom did and less like what everyone pushed for her. Ultimately, Rory is a small town girl and trying to make herself into a big city girl just wasn't true to her and that's okay. I feel like Lorelai had some things together at the start of GG Season 1 and some things not at all and that is where we leave Rory, knowing that Lorelai ended up getting it together in the end and so will Rory.

And remember the speech Luke gives in the kitchen? About how much they went through? How he had Rachel, Nicole... and he watched Lorelei go through her men. And then they finally ended up together.
Jess was single and didn't want to talk about it when he was in screen. Just like Luke used to.
For sure this is just setting it up to be just like Lorelei.
Wow. It's almost genius when you think about it. Nothing is done how it's supposed to be.

Well done ASP, well done.
After Jess showed up, I was just waiting for him to confess his undying love. He seems to have grown up a lot, much more grown up than Rory.
"This prick is asking for someone here to bring him to task Somebody give me some dirt on this vacuous mass so we can at last unmask him I'll pull the trigger on it, someone load the gun and cock it While we were all watching, he got Washington in his pocket."

But not having him do it was perfect. He'll be there for her, waiting until she's ready, but always being hers, even when she doesn't know it. Sappy, sure, but (heart) (heart) (heart)
I already plan on rewatching next week. I didn't catch every detail, like the maid being Gypsy!
I've already rewatched parts of fall then started over from the beginning. It's better the second go round and seems more like OS GG on rewatch, when you are rewatching but not hyper focused on it, swim?

I did think L&L felt very true to what we know. The life they built felt very lived-in. You can tell there's so much there but they never were (then or now) openly affectionate or lovey.
I'll have to rewatch with the knowledge of the final four words and of the parallels of Rory's life to Lorelai's.
I have to admit I was caught off guard by the ending but seeing the Christopher and Luke comparisons to Logan and Jess are spot on.
I don't want another season. I'm with the others that aren't interested in seeing Rory as a mom.
I was trying to find some of the fashion online and I could only find a few things linked. Rory's bag is $3,400. I need the pink blazer Paris wore to Chilton.

Omg I know. I die for that jacket.
I know all the dresses are DVF. That's what she always wore.
I did notice L carried a Chloe bag. Girls got some dollars.

Just finished. Here are my off the top thoughts.
Things I liked: The wedding, finally Emily finally being a "mother" to her maid's family The presence of Richard throughout That phone call between Lorelei and Emily. Give them all the Emmys. The Keifer Sutherland stuff cracked me up bc it was so delightfully random. The Rory/Dean scene. His fear when she told him about the book sort of made me smile lol Miss Celine
Things I disliked: Emily not being at the wedding. Lane standing for Luke. Should have been Jess. No on screen presence of Liz and TJ or even mention of Doula
Things I found entirely predictable: Christopher being clueless yet again. It was obvious what Rory was after and it seemed like he was being deliberately obtuse. The final 4 words. I knew that was going to be it a billion years ago. ASP is all about parallels and this was the biggest one. ASP mind fucking us all once again. Everyone bitches about how shitty season 7 was but it always pissed me off because she wrote the show into a corner because of her ego. The last 4 words were just her mind fucking us once again.
I hope we get more of Rory's journey, mostly so that we can see Jess. I was team Logan for the longest time but changed my tune after watching the revival. Logan always placated her. Jess challenged her and inspired her.
I may change my mind on these thoughts lol
ETA: also loved that the song during the wedding was the same one from their first dance at Liz and TJ's wedding. Nice throwback
And fuck that final 4 words noise. I almost threw my phone.
What why?
I was soooooo holding in until the end that there would be a last minute revelation that she loved Jess and they would hAve a double wedding. LOL.
How did poster up ahead know she was pregnant? That totally surprised me!
It was the Christopher stuff that had me thinking it. Asking how he felt that Lorelai did it by herself and how cagey she was being about it. Plus she wasn't drinking the coffee that he bought her!
