Verizon is Not Helpful. Did not have a way to test/replace battery, sent me somewhere to purchase a new one to see if it works. It's charging slowly, but the port is touchy, so I think it's a combo of things. I don't want to pay for a new phone....
We have a leak in the roof somewhere over GD1's room. Andplusalso, it rained over the weekend and it appears that we also have a tree root (from a tree I hate that I've been trying to talk DH into cutting down for a decade now) that may have broken through our drainage downspout because it wasn't draining but was instead backing up the pipe and coming through a joint like a little water fountain. And our driveway needs to be jacked up so a call to Slabjack is in. Our house was built in 2005. When it rains, it pours. Apparently literally at my house.
And now my computer isn't working again so I'm back on the iPad. Which I don't like. I want a Surface. Yes, I'm still (back to?) bitching about that. Guess what DH, the Apple fan, is buying himself because his office isn't Apple compatible? Grrrrrr.
I had shingles about seven years ago. It was awful. The worst pain that I never saw coming and couldn't really source out. It came out of nowhere. I still get tingles at the site from time to time. Poor guy.
MH is trying to find a replacement for the charcoal pan in our grill. The grill itself is in acceptable shape, but the charcoal pan/grate has rusted out. He found one a place online that sells replacement parts for a grill that is very similar to ours, and he called them to ask about the dimensions of this piece...they don't know.
They sell the damn thing - on their website they make it look like they MAKE the damn thing...but they can't tell us the goddamn dimensions.
and of course he's fussy about his grill capabilities, so if we have to replace the whole thing we're looking at something $$$ not just a little cheapy father's day special.

My former boss just emailed me and attached an extremely nice recommendation letter that I can include with my applications. I'm really touched by what he wrote.
I have a consult next Wednesday with a bariatric surgeon. I had a Lap-Band, had great success with it, got to my goal weight and then some, and then had my stomach prolapse through the band and had to have it removed. And then gained back 75 percent of the weight I lost. I work out regularly, I eat a generally healthy diet (LCHF), but I'm ALWAYS hungry and I have to fast to see the scale drop at all. So... back to the doctor to see if my metabolism is perma-screwed. If I opt in to another surgery, it will be the gastric sleeve instead.

I had shingles when I was 26. It was the one time I was grateful for my epilepsy as the meds I take are also a pain reliever. All I felt was itchy. Really really itchy.

I am so tired, I can barely keep my eyes open. I slept like shit last night. I always have trouble falling asleep on Sunday nights and I was thinking of 1000 things I Have to do this week. Finally fell asleep and a strong ass storm came through with constant lightning and huge hail. The dog crawled up my arm because she was scared, so it took awhile to doze off again.
But YAY for hot water and hot showers again. Our hot water heater quit on Friday and no one could come out until today, which meant no hot showers this weekend. I just took a long, hot shower and it was delicious.

He just finished a rough go after an infected incision for his vasectomy. 2017 has not been his year.
I have a deep and abiding love for my lands end fit and flare dresses (I have 4. wait...5). It looks like they went back to my preferred fabric for them (the modal. it doesn't pill and drapes really nicely. pretty sure that's the fabric on my favorite one.) but I made a resolution not to buy any dresses or pants that don't have pockets. For the REST OF MY LIFE. Possible exception for formal wear. Most of the ponte sheath dresses do have pockets though...so when I cave on buying new clothes, that's on my list. I think my oldest fit and flare is...5+ years old? they hold up really well.

That is the dress I am thinking of. I have one of the keyhole dresses in a 10 but normally wear more like a 12 so I am not sure what size to get in the fit and flare.

Medium. I have some M and some L (@ based fluctuations) and it's pretty forgiving, but the L just looks frumpy and too big on me now.
