Has anyone used Costco Finance for their mortgage when buying a new house? I don't know anyone IRL who has used them and online reviews seem mixed with some people mentioning a lot of calls from many different lenders who participate in Costco's program. Any feedback about good or not so good experiences would be helpful. Thanks!
I did and had a great experience both times (we used them on our old house and then to refinance our current one). I can PM you my lender's name if you'd like.

That would be great if you could send a PM. Thanks so much!
I did and it was great. I picked a lender from their website and no one else called. They aren't the actual bank, they just negotiate lower rates for you.
We used NBKC which is a preferred lender for Costco. We even got a membership because it earned us something like $800 back. I can send you the name of the person I used if you'd like. She was wonderful to work with and super quick & efficient.

Can you message me the name, too? We'll be looking to buy by the end of the year. Thanks!

Um that's amazing !
It was fantastic! We don't even have a Costco here so I just bought a membership online for $50 or whatever the cheapest was and then sent over my membership number.

I think it's a great idea, but double-check with your realtor before you commit. I am a realtor in an area where the housing market is super-hot right now, and sellers are looking for buyers with either all-cash or preapproval from a local lender, so buyers with a non-local or national lender may find themselves in a tougher negotiation and/or behind other buyers. Right now, I'm mostly referring people to my preferred local lender (who guarantees a 21-day close), which makes our offers stronger.
I've done this through Costco. I also used Costco to find my first realtor (this was about 15 years ago) and it was a fantastic process.
I'm amazed at the number of things I've done through Costco (travel, new garage door installation, mortgage refi, realtor, kitchen remodel, bought a new car) and I've been nothing but satisfied on all of it.
