I'm imagining him with his phone wrestling with WH staff and he pressed send and did a victory dance and giggled away like a child. That's what my kid does after he gets a hold of my phone.
I didn't even think of it as a blow dart. I thought it was a tranq dart from a gun, like they use in zoos and when they're tagging/medicating/assisting wild or injured animals.
(ETA: I didn't watch Moana, so I didn't get the reference.)
I am pretty meh about the fun that twitter is having about this, TBH.
I think the reactions are funny, but it's still a bummer that your average American schlub is more concerned about this than they are about all the other awful shit he's doing.
Also discouraging that he's tweeted two or three times this morning alone about a stupid typo but he simply couldn't be bothered to tweet anything about the women attacked, or the men killed, in Portland. (I realize that the POTUS account tweeted something, but c'mon, we all know he had nothing to do with that.) Or all the other horrible things Americans have been doing since he won the election. And the collective population is just shrugging it off and coming up with funny memes about a typo.

I'm still giggling over Twitter. This is a man who HATES being laughed at. I like to imagine that he is seething.
And I don't see it as forgetting all of the other shit that he has/hasn't done, though I agree that some might. I do relish the opportunity to yet again highlight that this man is doing it ALL wrong.

Nah, I'm sure he loves it. It's a distraction from Russia.
I still think it's hilarious. I think people are blowing the meaning and significance of it out of proportion, but it is some nice comic relief.

I am not seeing the reaction you describe. Many average Americans are outraged and continue to be outraged at this administration. The collective population isn't shrugging, but I know I can't maintain outrage without some comic relief. I imagine I am not alone.
You down with covfefe (Yeah, you know Kayleigh) Who’s down with covfefe? (Every last Trumpee)
I'm not down with covfefe. We all knew he's human. We're all human, and we should have standards for our leaders not excuses. He's proven to be an incompetent human who should not be president. He seems to forget the humans he's serving and feels they don't have rights to civil or equal rights, healthcare, science and protection from climate change...
And he has time to tweet about this and Kathy Griffin and a host of other stuff, but it took days for a tweet about the deaths of three Americans and the hands of domestic terrorists. And the tweet came from the official POTUS account so he didn't even type it. I really hate him as a person.
YES. His priorities are 100% fucked up 100% of the time. I hate what he's doing to my country.

I get that a lot of people continue to be pissed at him for making a mockery of our country, but there's not enough outrage. That's why he's still in office. Congress might actually get off their asses and do something about him if enough of them felt like their jobs were in danger in 2018 ... right now they're banking on general American idiocy/racism/bigotry/apathy/whatever to carry them through.
The people outraged right now are likely not the asses who were all-in for Trump in November, or voted for him because *shrug* NeverHillary, or voted for him because it was funny, or voted for Johnson/Stein because Trump and Clinton were "equally bad" somehow, or who didn't vote/never vote. And there were enough of those dumbasses to get this shitpig into office. I'm not fully confident that enough of them have turned a new leaf.
I thought this was a joke but apparently it's what Spicer actually said in today's off-camera briefing:
I know, right? Why would they waste energy lying about something that stupid? It was an incomplete tweet posted by mistake and not caught until morning. It was funny. Is his ego so fragile that everyone around him is pretending he meant every letter of that? Crazy cakes.

I think it is so strange (racist) that republicans think that 45 is this amazing man that is really showing the world what a true leader looks like after Obama, when legit everyone makes fun of him and his ridiculousness.
