So what exactly is it going to take for Congress to act here? Because I get the feeling that even if something juicy comes out today, Congress will just shrug and be all, "Yeah, well ..." and that'll be the end of it. And then we'll go to war with Iran and once again Trump And Co. will be off the hook.
The universe is conspiring against me. I wfh and usually don't have calls on Thursday, but somehow I have three stacked back to back from 10:30-12:30. Hopefully they are all short so I can watch in between...
I understand, man; I don't work today (YAY!), but my SIL & nephew are coming over during niece's dance class for coffee to hang. She's a die-hard republican who's DEFINITELY off the Trump-train, but she won't have ANY interest in watching. Trust that she invited herself 😳 Oh & it's for sure gonna be ON (I just won't be able to be on here as much as I want)
I've blocked my calendar off this morning with "desk time," and will be calling into a meeting instead of being physically there so I can still check Twitter and this thread. :-D

The GOP losing seats in 2018, or perhaps even the strong prospect of that happening. So yeah, nothing immediate, but I want to see continued chipping away of support and enough frustration that midterms get better voter turnout than usual.
I just fed DS2 and am working on getting him back to sleep so I can go downstairs and turn this on. Fingers crossed the older one is cooperative and doesn't freak out about not being able to watch Curious George.
I have to take the kids to the dentist and myself to the doctor but I'm working from home the rest of the day so I set my DVR to record it. I'll be on West Coast delay but I don't mind spoilers. 🙂
I'm sooooo busy at work but I want to close my door and at least play the audio in the background. I feel like I'm getting more excited than I should. I'm also geeking out at the thought of laying in bed later tonight and catching up on this thread which I hope will become monstrous.

Yes this is where I am at. But still going to watch because I can't help myself.
I'm "working" from home today (I don't have any active assignments so nothing to actually do). I'm going to have the hearing up on my home PC monitor with sound on, French Open on my work monitor with no sound, and will be attempting to keep up with this thread on my work laptop.

I feel like I need this tattooed on my forehead, but - the end game is a long ways away. The expectation isn't that Congress is going to get out of their chairs this afternoon and initiate impeachment proceedings. It's all a process. I get so frustrated by the attitudes of "well we aren't going to get what we want right now so fuck it all." I mean, I understand the cynicism, I do, but it's going to make you feel worse and even more powerless.

Y'all. I have to pack up a minivan full of equipment for a county fair RIGHT AS this starts today. Whyyyyyy? I am counting on you guys. Do I have your loyalty??
I'm so mad- I usually work from home on Thursdays, but I needed to be in the office today, for a meeting 10am-noon. There's no way I'm going to be able to get caught up.
I'm taking one for the team and have Fox News on. They're actually going to air the hearing and even have a countdown for it and everything!
I think they are living in the "Comey's Released Speech Vindicates Trump" world, so this is not surprising to me.
I really don't follow this though. It may say #45 himself was not under investigation. I understand why they are highlighting that point. It also clearly states that he tried to obstruct the Flynn investigation. That is a much bigger issue that they seem to be ignoring, and I don't really understand how they can just brush that aside.
