And for the record we're not expecting to see it revived again this week, so the clock will likely run out on 9/30. If they want to move on this again they can pass a new reconciliation instruction for 2018, but the presser was pretty clear that their plan is to use that on tax reform and the 2019 reconciliation for health care repeal.
Still a long road ahead and this probably isn't the last we have seen of this particular proposal, but there is going to be some respite I think. I'd encourage people to keep the calls up - throw it away, kill it dead forever, make sure they know if they bring it back it will hurt. Not too pretty to think about, but McCain almost certainly will not be around the next time this surfaces, so we're going to need to switch it up.

Yay! Congrats seeyalater52 and to all your partners. I hope you guys get some much needed rest now. I can't imagine the weight you must feel is off your shoulders.
I am kind of salty Murkowski didn't come out against and just issued a meh statement criticizing the process and not the substance. I feel like she has the room to criticize the substance if she wants to. Which makes me nervous when I see things like this, even though I know what Santorum says has to be taken with a grain of salt:
I also think everyone should call demanding bipartisan efforts. My concern is they will stay away from bipartisanship because they want the ACA to get worse - so I hope everyone keeps calling every so often demanding they go to the table in good faith and to let them know we see them sabotaging the marketplaces.
All that being said: today is a good day. I am so relieved.

biscoffcookies we are definitely asking our AK partners to hammer her on these statements about process. They're really unhappy.
And everyone should be calling to demand they restart the bipartisan talks. We are pushing that now and will have more on next steps for CHIP and sabotage stuff in the next couple of days. Just trying to let people breathe for a second and seeing if we can get more intel on whether Medicaid cuts will be in the tax reform instructions.
You guys the CBO is going to release a full score on the most recent iteration of Graham Cassidy in a few weeks! This is bringing me great joy.
Yeessssssssssssss!!!! Also I have a great sense of schadenfruede for Dean Heller who now gets to run in Nevada not only having voted yes but sponsoring a bill that did the opposite of everything he pledged not to do earlier this summer and that his popular governor from the same party hated. Have fun with that!!

I will be so overjoyed if he loses his seat.
Also, Santorum is a lying liar who lies, Murkowski's statement was not ideal but there's no way she is on board for this suddenly in 2018. No way.

I sat and watched a NowThis Politics video last night about why people hate politics because of senators and it was example after example of Heller. I am so hopeful he will lose the seat and it will cost him a bundle to do so.
