Check Instagram, we have video proof that I did ๐
I didnโt sleep last night. Pain, adrenaline, excitement and social media overload got to me. There are about four body parts that donโt hurt today. Walking to breakfast helped immensely. So did the loaded mimosas.

OMG the look on L's face is excellent!
Look, if you're going to run less than 12 hours after you just finished an Ironman, you need to have a look of irony. Or amusement. Or whatever I looked like. :-)

It was so perfect. Made me laugh!
And @vtcupcake with the squeal giggle killed me dead. <3

And youโve also got to understand that our coach sent us workouts for the week.
I don't know what to say here. I've already cried my way through this weekend because ironman emotions are no joke, for real. I'm bawling again reading this entire thread.
This is an extraordinary group to be a part of. Truly. I am so thankful to be here and feel your support. I'm a believer in community and the power of tribes in helping eachother succeed and it's not an exaggeration to say that this weekend would not have happened if it wasn't for this community.
I joined this group 4 years ago when I decided to get serious about actually training for a half marathon for the first time. Not my first race, but the first time I decided to invest in training and not be miserable during a race . I wanted to lose weight, but I never expected to find joy in sport, and I certainly never expected to make such dear friends. The inspiration I drew from everyone here lead me quickly down the marathon path and then before I knew it I had a voice in me whispering ironman. So when I say that this weekend wouldn't have happened for me with out you all, I really mean it. And the outpouring of love and support overwhelms my heart.
I'm processing and working through my thoughts in the race. You'll have that novel to read at some point this week. And now that I'm not consumed with training, I'm very much looking forward to being here more often again.
