Interesting. I have OCD and I also do this but I never really put it together. I worry that if I don't pee, I'll wake up because I have to pee and then I can't get back to sleep.
I read this last night in bed and the further I got into the thread the more I had to pee.
I also have to pee several times before bed and don't have OCD but I do have GAD. Like the other poster, I'm scared that if I don't totally empty by bladder I won't get a good night sleep. Since having David I have to get up and pee 1-3 times a night and it often interferes with my sleep.

I have became this way since my first pregnancy. peeing is the last thing I do before I finally drift off to sleep, even if that means getting up 2-3 times while I lay there waiting to go to sleep. I *think* it will prevent me from getting up at night, but I still do get up in the middle of the night at least 80% of the time to pee.
I do this every night and have since I was a kid. If I don't pee before I go to sleep then I feel like I'll pee the bed and I get anxious and can't sleep.
Yep, this is me. I pee often anyway, but definitely right before lights out. If I pee, then get in bed and read for 15 minutes, I still have to get out of bed and pee again before I turn off the light. And it's not like nothing comes out!
When I am home, I am fine with a pee before bed, but if I am at someone else's place, I am so paranoid I need to pee several times, which just makes things even more weird. Its the worst.
I blame this on my sister - she once slept over at a dudes place and peed the bed - I have never forgotten that and now I am so utterly afraid of that ever happening to me.
