Hey there! Can any of you recommend any blogs or podcasts that you follow that either just offer a good general view of finance/savings/investing OR even better tend to cater to someone in my place in life? I’m a working mom with two toddlers (3 and 1) and a husband who owns his own business. We are relatively comfortable financially but not loaded and I want to be more involved in managing our money. The only real debt we have is a mortgage and my car payment. I don’t have time to read any books But I could definitely read blog posts or listen to podcasts during my 45 minute commute to and from work.
And if this has been discussed already please direct me to an old post so I can check it out.

A personal finance blogger recently put together a list of Female PF bloggers, from all walks of life, and the list keeps growing. It's a great resource for finding lesser-known bloggers and also promoting women in a traditionally male-dominated space.

Sarah Saverdink , I gotta ask. How did you find us? There's something familiar about you.
I've been here on and off for years - mostly as a lurker, but I would post occasionally. I found these boards via the knot and was part of the mass migration. MM was my first money-focused message board

I am definitely a different person. Our total clothing/shoe spending for two people last year was just under $400 and the most expensive pair of boots I own are my ski boots. Does that count as proof?
I don't know shoegal/feministfinancier in real life, but I have run into her on Twitter. She's still promoting her brand and collaborating with other websites/bloggers.

Under what name? Your post history goes back to a month ago. You can see why we are skeptical.

Yes, I can see that. I actually created this account back in June, but didn't post because there was a lot of activity going on back then. From a timing perspective, it was a few months prior to shoegal's deactivation.

Yep. I would switch some categories too if I was trying to disguise myself. Location and the main thing I am known for are the 2 things I would switch.
The post you linked just miraculously links Feminist Financiers blog.

I don't believe you.
It seems weird in any event, but I can't imagine creating a fake blog just to participate on GBCN. That seems like a lot of effort when it wouldn't really be that hard to just NOT act like a former poster.

I used to feel this way because it is way too much work for me, but this board and TN have shown me lengths people will go to.
I mean FF was posting on here is clear violation of TOS and no one seemed to care. So why not do this? I would never even have 2 accounts because I wouldn't be able to keep it straight. I changed my name for some anonymity and people figured it out in .02 seconds. I am who I am.

Oh, I'm with you. I would never bother with/be able to keep straight two accounts. I tried to create an AE once to post a personal question and even that was too much of a PITA for me. Though, if you are who I *think* you used to be, you didn't exactly slink off like a coward the way Shoegal/FF did, so no need for you to create some weird persona and a second blog about early retirement.
I didn't realize FF was known enough to make any list. Especially one just randomly linked here.
I assume you mean me, even though I was not the OP. We actually live near the NH border, about 45 min outside the city. If anyone wants to quiz me, I can describe every aisle of the Nashua Costco since I go there so often. Random FYI for New England folks - Hannaford just launched a new rewards program last week. If you sign up for their app, they are giving out $5 of $5 purchase coupons, plus several free product coupons right now. We scored some yogurt, fancy chips, seltzer, canned soup and a few other things for free over the weekend.
FF is very active on Twitter and has almost 5,000 followers (I just looked it up). I'm not surprised she's on multiple lists. She markets herself constantly and the PF community isn't that big.
I really didn't mean to derail this post, but I'm not sure how to prove I'm someone different.
