I’m so sorry. When my cat was really sick and not wanting to eat, my vet suggested trying baby food (beef or chicken) since it’s salt free and no additives.
I am so, so sorry. Meat baby food - which I think you mentioned your vet had on hand - is something that in my experience at a cat shelter is something almost any cat will eat. He might want to get a few jars to try. Hugs to you.
I am so sorry. This hits really close to home for me because something similar happened to my (favorite) cat this past December. I'm hoping so hard for a positive outcome for you and Dexter. Love to you all.
I am so, so sorry. I've gone through this before, and I know exactly how hard it is.
Our vet suggested Friskies - he calls it kitty crack since it's super smelly and like the McDonald's of the cat world. Maybe try some of that too, mixed with a little warm water. That was the only way I could get my boy to eat for a while!

I'm sorry you and dexter are going through this, but I'm glad he has you. It sounds like you're doing everything right, including bringing him home for now. I had good luck feeding my very sick cat baby food. I stocked up on the peas and beans and meat single-ingredient formations. They are as a rule easy to digest. If you feed him tuna, get the kind in water, not in oil, and don't drain it, just plop the whole thing on a plate. Evn if he's not got an appetite, the liquid will help, and that, itself, may simulate his appetite.
Hugs to you and your H and a belly scritch to Dexter.

Oh no, I'm so sorry. No wonder his little tum is bothering him. I hope the fluid is caused by something harmless and easy to fix. Give him all the love and snuggles you can tonight. Being home and loved will make him feel better.
