Ehhh, maybe? I don't know. I haven't been here as much in the past several months because I've been so busy with school & life. I pop in every so often now, but not with the regularity I used to.
I have a very strange aversion to buying children's clothing. I do it because I don't want them to be naked, but the idea of it ever becoming a hobby of mine is unfathomable. I openly judge this practice, and I think more people should do the same.
I'm too cheap for this to be a hobby, particularly when said clothing will be worn only a few months because GROWTH.
My faves are hand-me-downs. That's what he was wearing in the pic posted briefly. Hahahahahaha.
We’re moving across the country before I deliver, so I cannot logistically expect hand me downs.
I’m doing the next best thing and buying all used online. So far one resold bags appears to be clothing this kid for at least 6 months.
I will say this, I kind of miss having total say over my kids clothing choices. C has VERY strong opinions on what she wears (pretty much all leggings and t-shirts). There are a lot of rules when it comes to what she will and will not wear. No bows, no ruffles, no pink, and on and on.
Whenever I see kids dressed in really, really nice outfits and girls with bows in place, I wonder how they manage to stay looking so nice. My kids destroy their outfits. lol Most days at pick up, K looks like she has been put through the ringer.
I had a great run from 0-3. DD wasn’t decked out but she would at least wear pretty dresses, skirts and bows. Now, I call her sporty spice. Only targets finest workout gear for her. It drives me insane. I can only get her in a dress on mother’s day when I tell her she has to wear what I want on my day.
My days are Mother's Day and Picture day at school. Yes, C is all about athletic gear and she likes sporty skorts too (LL Bean had some cute ones). If I let her, she would wear the same two shirts all the time, never mind her favorite leggings with holes in them. lol And I can never really do her hair; I really need to learn how to do neat braids. Her K teacher was able to do all sorts of cool French braids and she would come home looking great. It was a dude. I seriously lacking in my hair styling abilities.
In the past I participated in bootd but it never was fancy and since my kids started dressing themselves....lol. But maybe that’s what it should be about! The awesome outfits our kids put together lol

Not any time soon, though I've only been here three years. I've tended to stick around most places until either the board implodes or members migrate elsewhere, which often happened years down the line. Once FB groups got going a lot of my go-to forums slowed way down as members moved on and/or preferred the convenience of FB.
I'm staying put. I'm super introverted and prefer to make friends online, and have maintained close friendships that way. Moving around a lot made it hard to make good friends out in the wild.

Same! DD's favorite days are the ones where it's warm enough for shorts. She will only wear a dress on picture day or when I make her. I gave up on bows a long time ago. I do not have a girly girl. I have a sporty girl who plays hard and looks like a hot mess by lunch time every day.
I used to love dressing up my kids. Sofia always had her fancy sets with bows, and I made the boys wear matching sweater vests 😂😂. I was too much.
Now they wear mostly Walmart (we don't have target anymore), or Costco. Or whatever I find at Winners. I pick sofia up from school and I don't know wtf she does all day, but her hair looks insane, so definitely no more bows. Every day she gets a pony tail, or the rare braid (she has become a bit of a tomboy, and now hates braids), leggings, a tshirt, and a hoodie. There would be exactly no reason for me to ever post in a bootd now, lol.
How I Built This just came out with an episode on The Knot that I’m about halfway through. Funny that I can’t remember why we left—my only association with the exodus is “blow me where the pampers is”

Of course I do. I’m not a popular poster nor am I BFFs with anyone here...and mainly because I don’t care what the board thinks. So I’m sure at some point I’ll say deuces.
