katespade: I SAH but I will keep the talking thing in mind. I am super chatty with DH being home right now. pooh8402: I'm going to do this with ice cream.
Right now I'm alternating acetaminophen and ibuprofen and that seems to be working. I have a stronger prescription but I've only used it last night, it took forever to kick in so I'd rather use medication that I know will work in 30 minutes or less.
We had a huge storm last summer and a neighbor encouraged us to get someone to look at our roof to see if we had damage. Well, we learned today we are getting a free roof AND free siding! I am so glad we called someone to check!
The guy who hit my car ( then drove off before police arrived) on Tuesday is now driving without a tag. Called state troopers faster than I could blink. Unreal.
Just happened to pull up beside him on our commute. Unreal.
@opal- I remember my wisdom teeth surgery not being that bad. (The recovery was great, expect I figured out I have an adverse reaction to morphine and codiene.) And there is a possibility that you will be off the pain meds before the 11th.
katespade- I hope your whole place is back together soon.
estrellita- I haven’t bought new shoes other then flats in so long.
ewall- seeing pictures of people going to derby’s on Facebook makes me jealous. Lol
HoneySpider- I hope all the unpacking is going well.
It’s been a crazy busy week here. I feel like I haven’t gotten much done around the house on my days off and I’m already back to work tomorrow. (I need to get up at 4am and it’s 10:30 and I can’t sleep! Urg)
MrsMB I hope they get him! I was in a hit and run once, the other person's tag fell off. Except it was already a stolen tag so womp womp, no catching up with that person.
Ugh, so sorry you had to deal with that too
What's bad is that they have NO INFO from the tag. It's not stolen, the state I live in just has NO INFO. How do you register a tag on someone with NO INFO?
The Hit & Run investigator assigned to me said he can't make any promises. I'm giving him until Monday then I'll file with my insurance.
awick14- the grass looks really good! They had to come back because you could see a line where there were two different pieces but it’s fixed now and I love it! Glad we did it even though it will be hot in the summer...but it’s such a small front yard and we don’t play out there much anyways (if we do it’s usually with bikes, scooters, friends, maybe tball on the driveway, etc). I will try to get some pictures later and post to FB 😀
MrsMB I would believe the DMV had no info. A few years ago, DH never got his renew by mail paperwork. So he went to the DMV. Turns out they gave his active, paid up tag to someone else. How do you give out duplicate tags?? Like the ENTIRE point is for them to be unique and identifiable. Lol.

He does that work? A storm damaged our house last year and we never got it fixed. Is this something we could use our homeowners policy for? I just assumed we were responsible so we've left it ugly.

how are you responsible for a storm causing damage? yes, go through your homeowners policy.

We've never owned a home before. It literally never crossed my mind before this thread. I assumed it was mostly for catastrophic things like fires and floods.

basically you would talk to the insurance agency, and they would send out an appraiser. at best, they pay to fix the damage. at worst, they say no and you're in the same boat you are right now. no risk to call them and have them come look.

Agree with this. I am sure that would be covered under our policy here in CA but not sure about the rest of the country. In CA you have to have additional coverage in the event that an earthquake causes damage...something about natural disasters not being covered (not sure if there is something similar for those that live in hurricane/tornado territories).

Yea hurricane/flood coverage were extra when we lived in Houston (we had flood coverage) and I think tornado coverage is extra here in the Panhandle (southern end of Tornado Alley).
Productive day! Preschool, L and I had a bagel and coffee date, went grocery shopping, cleaned the inside of the refrigerator, walked to pick C up! I also called on a medical bill (I got charged for an annual depression survey when I went to my woman’s heath exam last week...it was a mistake) and arranged Mothers Day plans for the moms/grandmas! Just cleaned the downstairs bathroom and tile downstairs and am relaxing/having lunch! Need to vacuum later this afternoon. It’s hot here today (almost 90) so trying to figure out what we will do later.
amaranth you have one year from date of damage to file, so call quickly! I found it most effective to call the roofing company for a free inspection first. They came when the insurance adjuster came and pointed out every speck of damage, which I think helped us get the most possible from the claim.
Work today wasn’t too bad. But my sister is staying the night with us tonight, and it’s now 10:20 and I’m just crawling into bed again. 4am will be very early again. Urg. O well.

DH’s 3 interviews went well! We really liked the area the last one was in. H is hoping for an offer from the last one most. The area was beautiful and we felt safe.
We just bought our flooring! I'm anxious because spending that much money at once makes me panicky, lol. Plus I'm nervous we'll regret it and wish we went with something else. Stupid anxiety! But really, I'm excited to get it installed. We'll do that in June!

So I was looking on Pinterest for how to lay out the floor. I see a picture with the "right" and "wrong" ways to stagger the pieces. Ok, cool. Next picture is also the "right" and "wrong".. but it's the opposite of the last picture! Lol. Sigh. I'll just have to find pictures of each or lay out some pieces and see what we prefer. I think FIL said earlier not to go too random with it because we'll end up with a lot of randomly sized scraps, but I think that seems to be a popular recommendation. Hmm. How is everyone else's wood floors laid out?

We are home! I’m so tired. We’ve been up since 3am so if we make it until 9pm tonight I’ll be amazed.
I’m trying to meal plan for the week but having a hard time concentrating. I need to right out my workout plans to but may wait until tomorrow to do that.
